So after reading all the new and vast info out there I figured out what I need to do as far as e-cig. I am torn on which is more powerful the Pro Vap or the Silver bullet as far as a strong throat hit. Does anyone know which is a better company or product? This whole thing is confusing but I am catching on, just dont know which company to order from, any more suggestions?

Never heard of Pro vap. You mean Provari?

Provari is a variable voltage model that does a whole range of voltages so whatever you put on it can be vaped cool, warm or hot

SB is a 2 voltage model which you need to swap the battery type in to change the voltage and it does 3.7v (lots of stuff available for 3.7) and 6v (much less stuff available for 6v since you need to use pretty high ohms stuff on that)

Both are good companies. I have a ProVape and an Altsmoke Alpha not their SB. The major operational difference is that the SB uses an 18650 battery and the ProVape uses a 14500 battery. The SB is about twice the size of the ProVape....Both are well built and solid. Either would be a great choice, but the 18650 battery would last a lot longer for you.

Happy decisions !:)

Aside from the differences in the battery, the SB is a straight up mechanical mod. The provape-1 has circuitry in it which includes a 16 second cut-off. It also has short circuit protection to keep your battery from getting a dead short, amperage limiting (not sure on the number though), and reverse battery protection.

The lavatube is badass. I like it much better than the provari, for it's ease of use (not having to click the button a million times to get to my desired voltage). You also don't get the e2 error, the device drops the amperage back to 2.5 instead. The provari has a bit better build quality, but it costs like 3 times as much too. I have a love/hate relationship with the provari's weight. On one hand, I could bash someone's head in with it if I needed to. On the other hand, it does weigh down my shirt pocket a bit;) lol

I've had a Silver Bullet for quite awhile now and have no complaints about it. It's a solid device (been dropped many times). It is big and heavy though, so think about that if you're going to keep it in your pocket. I used to take mine everywhere but only use it at home now. I use my box mod while I'm out doing stuff since it's lighter/smaller.

I also forgot about my double barrel cap for the SB until now. I'm curious to see how it does with dual Resurrectors.

Thanks all for the info, I think I will go with the pink silver bullet. I will be smoking it only around the house so size does not matter. I just want something easy, well built, above all a tight throat hit. Now to find the best juice company for tobacco flavor. This site has been so helpful, thanks all for replying.

For a lot of juice choices, and vendors, check out this thread :

I was interested in the SB as I am investigating which mod would be right for me. I think the SB is great for some people, but I wonder about safety as it does not have any vent holes (I think). So I am not sure stacking batts would be good in it.

If I remember correctly the vent runs through the button.

You can buy different sized batteries for the SB to vape at different voltages. 18650 for 3.7V, 4.8V NiHm, or stack 2 x rc123a 3V batteries for 6V vaping. I run all 3 of my SB's at 6V. Not had any problems do so either. Great versatile mod.
