I'm in need of some help. I started out with a set of KR808D 1 batteries from Smokeless Image and then upgraded to a 5 volt OMG mod from Vapor4Life. I recently read a string of horror stories about stacked battery mods being a terrible idea, including my very own OMG mod. I would very much like to move to something more durable, with longer battery life, and less chance of explosive disassembly. The Silver Bullet seems to fit the bill nicely, but with one hitch. I've fallen in love with my dual coil tank setup, and have heard about lackluster performance at 3.7 volts. ALl I want is something close to the hit of that 5 volt hand grenade. Can anyone with more experience help me out?

Get a Silver Bullet and use a 18350 battery and a add a Kick. You can dial in your 5 volts. Best of both worlds.
Altsmoke will have an extension coming out soon, if it's not out already. So you can use an 18650 with a Kick. That's even better.

Takes an 18500 bat, not a 18350 with the kick, and Altsmoke now has the extensions.

Extension is the best way to go for sure. So the kick fits in only 150mm?. I'm sure I've seen it installed in a standard 18650 battery tube with a shorter 18*** battery. I thought it needed more room than an 186500 would give it.

Actually the extension adds 17.5mm to the total length of the SB.
You only need to subtract 15mm from the bat's length, and the spring in the bottom of the tube takes care of the rest when not using the extension. (65mm long bat down to a 50mm long bat)

No need for any of that IMHO.

I run J-tanks with Boge LR cartos. Hit hard, good flavour and 5.5ml capacity.

You can get a 5 pack of Boges for $5 compared to $10 for 5x dual coils and no need for a kick+extension which adds $75 to the price.

If I wanted to vape the same thing all the time I would agree, there would be no need for VV or VW. But, with the Kick in my SB I can use the 3ohm cartos that I have for my 5v PT, or my 1.5ohm atties that I have for my little 3.4v eGo or anything else that is in the drawer and it self adjusts.
However the main reason that I put a kick in my SB is for the protection ckts that are in it.

    The J-Tanks come from electronicstix.com
