I just ordered a Silver Bullet. I've tried so many less expensive mods (OG, Vmod, Copper, Ego batts, etc.) and I have not been happy with any of them (except for my 5 volt OG bottom feeder, but it's plastic and I can't really take it out of the house). So I bit the bullet and bought a Chrome Silver Bullet. :D:D

Question: can the SB handle 1.25ohm dual coil cartomizers? Thanks.

If only the surge tanks were for sale, then my SB would be a bottom feeder!

Now I just have to wait for it to ship and then stalk the mailman

The Silver Bullet can handle anything you throw at it, including 1.25 dual coils. With the hot spring ( comes included as standard for quite some time now ) you can even get vape at 7.7v under load.
The battery that you use is the most important thing to consider when using dual coils. Dont waste your money on cheap batteries, the drop when under load is huge. Ultrafires lose 0,6-0,7v , Trustfires are a bit better, with Trustfire 2400 Flames being the best for price/performance, with 0,5-0,4v loss under load. Best one to use for "3,7v" is AW IMR 1600 high drain, wich has a loss of only 0,21-0,26 under load with a dual coil, wich makes a huge difference. Fresh charged, i get up to 3.96-3.98v under load with 1.25 dual coil.
Remember, as long as the mod is mechanical, the contacts are good conductivity, good spring, and the button is a quality one, it all comes down to good batteries. Far to many times i have seen known reviewers using CRAP batteries, complaining about the fact that "3,7v" vaping is actually 3.4 vaping.. well, no wonder.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'll let you know how I like it. I'm sure it will be great as few mods have as stellar a reputation as the SB does.

Thanks Matrixxu for the advice on batteries. I have Trustfire Flames that I will be using initially. I also have a couple of the 4.8v NiMH batts coming in. I will be ordering some AW IMR batts soon. I've been using AWs in my smaller mods and the difference is noticeable. They're a bit pricy but well worth it. I can't wait to use my 1.25 DCs on my Silver Bullet.

Question: Have you used the 4.8v NiMH batts on the Silver Bullet? Do you know how much they drop under load? Thanks!

Can I ask why you were not satisfied with the vmod? if you had an earlier version, it probably leaked, but there is a remodeled chassis now that solves that problem and the vendor is handing out FREE replacements to those who purchased an early model. Cant beat that, its worth trying again maybe?

Hello enVmyIX! I had the early model and it leaked terrible. I got the new chassis and while it is much better it does leak sometimes and usually at the most inopportune times. There are some things I like about the Vmod and some things I don't. Like: the bf hybrid attys produce ridiculous amounts of vapor, very awesome. The size is fantastic, it's the perfect pocket mod. I like the cone that protects the atty connection. Vapage's customer service is top notch! Dislike: It leaks, not cool. I can't get a descent TH with the attys or cartomizers. It can't do high volt for long as the 3 volt batts don't last long.

I will still use my Vmod when I'm out running errands or need to have a stealthy mod with me. But I don't feel it's a totally satisfying vape when I'm out hanging out. The Vmod has its place in my arsenal, it just needs to have a less prominent place.

Thanks for your input tricci, i just put an order in for the vmod yesterday and I am pretty excited to try it out. I have only been vaping for three weeks on a kr808. I am sure that there are other pvs out there that are as good, if not better though, there are too many to keep up with!
I have read about the sb, seems like a solid pv.

Hey! Honestly it's a pretty good pv, especially with the AW 14500 batts. Vaping at 3.7 volt you def want to use the 1.5 ohm hybrid bottom feeding atty. Save the 2.8 ohm carto for 6 volt vaping. Even when I get my SB I will still use my Vmod, it vapes well. I think my main problem with it is that I like 5 volt vaping most of the time. Just be sure to carry a napkin with you as you will occasionally need to wipe the Vmod down. Even with the leaking it's still a solid mod.

The 5 volt battery with the DCs lasts a solid 6 hours before I notice a drop off. I got mine at Madvapes and they were really inexpensive. I will try the SB at 6 volts, I just need to order some LiMH batteries so I can use my DCs with it. I like Boge cartos, I use them for flavors I like but don't want to vape all day. DCs are my favorite though.
