Since I'm about to pull the trigger on this mod, I've done my homework and read that the silver version of Kanger's new squonker is somehow ruining batteries. I don't know how it ruins them or if it would even be possible. Also, how can the color of the mod effect them? Any information would be appreciated. I would also like to see replies from owners to help my decision. Thanks to all and to all a great vape.

Some batteries are a tight fit in the silver version so it might tear up the battery wraps. I have been using vtc5's in it and they slide in and out fine with no problems.
Could also cause indentation of the battery contacts due to the tight fit.

I don't have a DripBox 160w.

But from what I have read, there were some problems with Burrs on the Vent Hole/Logo that caused some Battery Wrappers to be torn. I believe that the Problem was limited to the SS Version.

If you get a DripBox 160w, I would stick my finger into the Battery Compartment before you put any Batteries in it and check for any Burrs or Sharp Edges.

I've had the silver one for several months. Some batteries fit tighter than others, likely due to the thickness of the wrap. One pair I have drops in with no issues, the other I need to play with a little but I've never damaged a wrap.

If you have a pair that fit tight take your time, just don't try and jam them in if they are resisting and you should have no issues. Rotating them a little works for me on the tighter pair.

Also some have reported burrs that damaged the wrap. Mine didn't have any but it's still something to look out for and should be able to be filled down easily if a problem.
