I just recently purchased a great camera... It's a Leica D-Lux4. . . It is the BEST small camera for macros . . . Better than most of the big cameras. You can add some lenses, but the macro is so great it's not necessary..

I am still working with lighting. I have two light boxes. Some one told me to get a white bucket, cut a hole in it a shoot through to hole...

Bandit works magic with silver. Trying to get the shine from silver is tricky.. most of my silver is vintage jewelry and coins, too much patina to shine. . . But there is something shiny coming my way in maybe a week. . . I am hoping to get a good picture!

I'll explain it to Bandit in a Pm and ask his advice. I love secrets. (only when I am on the inside.)

It's definitely NOT the camera that made these pics so beautiful.
I'll bet Bandit could take jaw-dropping pics with a disposable model from a drugstore.
I worked for a VERY good studio several years ago and learned it's ALL about the lighting, especially when working with reflective surfaces.
It takes a true artist to get that right.
Of course, shot composition, angles..... it's all part of the package. ;)

The man's got a lot of talent

It's the lighting that made those images, not the camera. You can take great shots with a disposable camera, but without great lighting and an eye for it, every camera will fall short. And if the lighting is right, there is very little need to edit.

I will stick with my 50d and 70-200mm 4.0L :D
