So I bought a couple Triton batteries from Halo. They worked fine, but about 10 weeks after I bought a 900 mAh VV battery and 12 weeks after I bought the 1300 mAh battery, the cap came off both of them and 2 wires attached to the chip or circuit inside broke off. This was in the same week! I chatted with customer service and they said that there is a 2 month warranty on the batteries and that they couldn't do anything about it. Now I have 6 tanks and a couple USB chargers for the Triton batteries, but no batteries to use them with. I don't want to buy another battery from Halo because they are ....., so I was wondering if there was another battery I could buy instead.. Thanks!

Just to put it out there, I am planning on buying a higher quality vape (either a Provari mini or Provari) so I can avoid this in the future. But I want a battery that won't break in 2 months, but also something that isn't as expensive as a provari, probably something less than $35 that will also work with all the accessories I already have. Thanks again!

If your tanks are 510/ego, than pretty much any battery will work with them.

I started out on a Vision Spinner 1300mAh VV. It worked great, and still does, in a pinch.

I've also bought a Vamo V5. Again, loved it.

Right now I'm using a MVP 2, and I would recommend it to anyone. I paid $45 for mine, but I've seen them for $39.99. They're absolutely the best bang for your buck, since they come with everything you need. No need to buy extra batteries, chargers, or toppers. It comes with either 2 iClear 16s, or 1 iClear 30. Like I said though, as long as your tanks are 510/ego threaded, they will fit the MVP 2, and just about any other battery/apv you buy.

-EDIT-

I didn't see the post above mine. Apparently yours are 808 and not 510.

You can use this 510 to 808 adapter to use your Halo tanks on any 510 connection. Great solution to threading issues. Here is the link

-> Papajohns: I read really good things about them and I knew they didn't use 510 threading, but I didn't think it would be a problem. Wasn't expecting their product to be so flimsy, fall apart, and having to replace them after just 2 months..ha :p

-> CShaver: Thanks for the adapter idea. I don't know if halo is an 808 or not, but if it is, that would be the perfect solution!

-> RoseB: Thanks; last night I ordered an Ithaka clone and some tips from fasttech. Figured it wouldn't be getting here for 3 weeks (10 days until they ship and 14 days to get here), which will give me more than enough time to decide on the better quality pv.

I have a volt spinner that works fine with my triton tanks and triton charger. You can get them here http://smokelessimage.com/batteries/voltspinner/volt-spinner-battery-auto-manual.html

Halo is 808/ego threading. Smokeless Image uses the same threading.

X2 Battery & Battery Accessories

Another option is an 808 to ego adapter and a regular 510/ego battery...but those are hard to find...usually out of stock everywhere.

808D to eGo Adapter

If you like the Triton tank it is almost identical to a Kanger T2. The Triton tank does not fit on a 510/ego battery, but a T2 does fit on a Halo battery...go figure. The replacement heads/coils are identical and fit both.

I don't think the Halo Triton is either 808 or 510, but rather of proprietary threading. It really sucks that this happened to you :( You may just want to start clean. Madvapes and fasttech have fairly cheap prices. Orders from fasttech can take quite as they ship from China.
I really wish you would stop doing this. Halo uses the standard 808D-1 threading, the same as Volt, V2, V4L, Bloog and several others. These posts of yours about Halo are not only wrong, they are actively harmful. Please stop spreading misinformation.

That's because the Triton tank is a branded T2 with a different base. The center pin and eGo threads are shorter to be compatible with the 808 threading. The 510/eGo bases should be compatible with the Triton tanks. At that point you'd have a standard T2.

I admit, I don't know this for fact. But it is true with Smokeless Image's T3.

Halo is kr808D-1 threaded. It is not proprietary.

Sorry, I should have read all the posts before responding... :D
