Tried poking a hole in the cart for my ecigar from The Smoke Safe and WOW ! I would usually get down to half the cart full of fluid and getting no juice to the att. This is now getting every last bit and very little coming back out of the hole. I made the hole with a needle I heated with lighter right in the center of the bottom of the cart. At first you might get a bit coming out of the bottom of the full carts on the initial draws but as the juice makes its way down the cart there is nothing but air.

Tks for the tip - Jaimdogg1

I heated a straightened paperclip w/a bic lighter, inserted hot clip into mouthpiece just about 1/4" down(just barely below where my lips touch the mthpiece),this is on a901. For the 801, I pulled the cart out of the atomizer & made the hole abt. 1/4" below the black(in the white area),hope that helps...Chuck

Tried the hole on two different 901 carts. On a round cart I put a small hole thru the inside at the end and put a small piece of celophane before replacing the poly, this should work as a flapper valve letting air in and preventing the liquid from being sucked out. The second a flat cart, I put the hole thru the side. I usually only drip but I have been vaping both this evening for over two hrs and they are both giving great vapor on usb. I am pleasantly surpised. Normally I would have had to top off several times.

Three hrs of vaping and the round cart finally started to fade so I opened it and for the first time found the poly almost dry from end to end. Neither of the carts had fresh or recently cleaned poly so I am impressed with the results. If this works it will be great because dripping is a pain while driving.

Lots of different things have been experimented with for cartridge fillers, cigarette butts, cotton, Kevlar, stainless steel wool, etc.

Ah I see someone beat me to it! Stainless steel wool works best for me for my new M-410.

The mod on this thread is still serving me well on my original 801 cart!!.

The M-401 seem to melt and degrade the polymer steel wool delivers all of the liquid from the 401's tiny cart, no overflow and no burn :)

For what it's worth, as I have no experience at all yet. It's in the mail.
I wonder about using stainless steel mesh faucet aerators. Found in some hardware stores in the plumbing parts bins. Cut to length and roll up to fit in cartridge.

idea:

vaps should be in the shape of a screw. Then you can screw the cart on it and the vap would basicallly enter the wool and be 100% enclosed.

By the way...why cant i EDIT posts here?

There are some restrictions in place on the forum until you hit 15 posts. Not sure why and I can't remember if the edit function was one of the restrictions.
