Simple metal tube battery mod?

I have an idea for a cosmetic mod but need a simple push button metal tube mod to build it on. I've tried searching and reading through and now my brain hurts. Anyone know of a very basic metal mod (preferable stainless or aluminum)?

Thank you for the idea though I'm thinking the "Fog Log" looks closest to what I'm looking for (was wanting silver colored metal though). I want to make a lightsaber handle...yeah dorky but I like the idea and want for personal home use. Would be awesome while playing the SW pencil and paper RPG (which I play).

If you're going with raw pipe as you starting point, you can get aluminum pipe (which is very light weight) if you don't want to go copper/brass.

I love the above quoted pieces but I think I want do do it all from scratch. I'm either crafty or ghetto like that (depends on what the finished product looks like I guess)

One thing to consider if you're going to start with raw tubing is how are you going to handle the endcaps? Flashlight/torches usually have easy access to the battery(s). There's multiple ways it can be done, but it's probably the biggest decision you'll need to make prior to starting construction.

I have access to equipment to create the threading how I want (internal or external). The ends might have to be another material or I might have to order from the website posted in here (as that part is far cooler than what I might find or make). I'll be planning this out for quite a while before I implement it.

I'm not into the whole lightsaber thing myself but I had come across that website a couple weeks ago and was surprised that I haven't seen a mod yet using those parts since so many people are into them.

I'm sure there would be if it wasn't so expensive. The batteries and charger I got from there were not!

Yeah it seems like certain pieces are a great deal and others..not so much. Just like anything gotta be a smart shopper.

Try searching for 1 x 3.7v Battery torch.
like AA size 14500 battery..

I think there are a lot in the market.
