I got an njoy Ncig to use at home with a passthrough (when they become available again) but I was a little disapointed with the throat hit. It seemed to me that my Npro (same as most minis I think) gave me a better "feel" but the tiny cart volume is a PITA.

Anyway, I noticed that I could "choke" it while inhaling by blocking the air intake on band between the batt and atomizer. So I took some duct tape (The heavy foil type, not the common grey stuff) and made 2 or so wraps around the battery so the air doesn't move through so rapidly.

This gave the "pull" a little more resistance but increased both the vapor production and the "fullness" of the hit.

Hope this makes sense. Sorry no pics but it just looks like a 1cm stainless band around the batt.

It seemed to make it MUCH better to me. Your mileage may vary...

Yep, without the airflow through the atomizer chamber you will do 2 things simultaneously.

1- decrease the life of your atomizer coil by running it hotter than designed.

2- You will cause more of the liquid ingredients to solidify (due to the lack of airflow and the high heat) and gum up the wadding inside the coil. This will lead to burnt taste, and decreased capacity for the wadding to wick the fresh liquid to the coil leading to decreased vapor production.

That being said, I would advocate these kinds of "hacks" for old atomizers to squeeze a little more life out of them.

If some air is still getting in the atomiser it will be just fine! Stop worrying that it is going to burn out, 2 hole atomisers and even one hole atomisers get by ok!!

Enjoying the ecig with a mod to reduce the airflow and making it satisfactory is better than an unsatisfactory atomiser that is useless from the start hehe!

I am fairly new to this, so pls bear with me. My first e cig was a super mini and after seeing the polls I bought a 901 (which I enjoy allot more) I let myself run low on carts 8-o(901) was able to get carts for the SM, I think this is the same size as the njoy (not real sure) anyway, as I said I like my 901 more, so I decided to get creative, pulled the wool out of the 901 cleaned and dried it,and then pulled the wool out of a new SM cart, and there was enough liquid in that to saturate my 901 wool fully.

How did you transfer the liquid? A syringe comes highly recommended for the cartridge smoker, you can pop the wool into the syringe and squeeeeeeeeeze the liquid into a dropper bottle ready for topping up those carts should supply run low!
