Simple PT fix

I had bought a 510 PT this summer, and I loved it! Then one day, it stopped working after about a month of constant use. I was so sad! I searched and searched for what was wrong with it, but none of the fixes worked. I put it aside and got a new PT without an inline battery. Then one day I happened across a thread that suggested I only need get a new battery. So I did. and TAADAAAA!!! It works once more. Boy did I feel dumb! But very happy it was nothing defective from my beloved Cignot. I hope this helps someone else out there that may be in mourning for their own PT.

They can and do go bad. Mine went bad, so I made my hubby cut out the battery case and bypass it. I now plug it into my ipod adapter and its good to go. I could have ordered a new battery, but this was a 5 minute fix and I don't need to take it all over, as I have a 401 PT in the car.

It was one of those 'obvious' things I should have figured out, but didn't~ I even asked around on the forums. I'm just really happy I didn't throw it out and give up. It works just fine now, of course. lol Live and learn!
