BCRich- Ah! A fellow guitar player! BC's are nice. Never had one, would like to. Yah, not looking for another hobby, just a nic-fix and get off the tobacco .. and yep, not going to go too exotic for now just basic low maintenance will do just nicely.

Markus, Do you have a link for a "spinner"? Sorry, I don't know all the terminology yet

A "spinner" is an eGo style battery with a dial on the bottom that you can adjust the voltage for. They make a Vision, a Kanger EVOD and a couple of others. If you Google Spinner, it will be easy to find.

The battery is variable voltage so you can turn up or turn down you battery to give you better flavor or whatever. Once you get into the variable (voltage or wattage), you want to read up on the resistance of coils so you don't turn it up too much. There is a nifty chart around that you can easily find.

However, if you are going into variables, a iTaste 3.0 is a nice battery. It is only 800mah but it also works as a pass-thru which can come in handy if you find yourself with dead batteries. A pass-thru will allow you to vape while charging with very little of none of the eGo style basic batteries can do.........and it is only a little more.

I picked up a couple of these at a local convenience store. $9.99 each. They aren't spinners, but they are variable voltage. Click the button three times & it steps through three voltages. It starts at 3.2V & the little LED is green. Click it 3 times it goes to 3.8V & the LED is blue. Click it 3 times again & it goes to 4.2V; red LED. Click it 3 times again & it goes back to 3.2V

I decided to experiement with even more voltage (more watts) & got an eGo V. It will go up to 6 volts. I found that for the cheapo ce4s & ce5s that I use & the liquids I use 3.8 to 3.2 is where I like it the most.

I'm also finding that I like Vx eLiquids. My local smoke shop sells them for $9.99 for a 10ml bottle. I can get them straight from VaporZX.com for $5.99 I'll still experiment with other liquids, but I'll keep a good supply of the Vx stuff for sure.
