Joye 510 attys have a washer now?

Since when do genuine Joye 510 attys have the washer inside? I orderd five as a new customer because of what was said in the thread below and the assurance that they would be genuine Joye. I got them today only to find they have the washer.

I recall that was some controversy over these in other threads whether they are actually made by Joye. I guess it's Chris that's saying in post 57 that they are Joye (under post 50% off Un-Flavored....).

The bridge on these is taller so my ZFM mod leaks when I use them. I orderd expecting to get Joye brand, not a knockoff. If they aren't Joye, they need to SAY THAT on their site and list both those and Joye to choose from!

Help!

Is there anyway to remove it ? what is the benefit of it ? it looks like that it decrease the amount of fluid that enter to the atty !?

That's a clone 510 atty, also known as an L2 and made by Sailebao(SLB), it's not a genuine Joye product. Most people don't like them as much as Joye, but some people prefer using them on their mods. Someone in the Classifieds Forum was looking to trade a Joye for one of those.

Thanks for posting this! I ordered two attys a little less than a month ago. The same day I also received my KR808, so I didnt have the chance to take them out of the packaging for use.

Today, I see your post, check the link and realize this is where I got mine from too. Open up the package that they are in and.... BINGO... washers. So, these have been circulating for at least the last 3-4 weeks. Im suprised no one else has said anything.

I have both and I prefer the slb for some of the more subltle flavors. I think they are both good attys and I really don't know what Joye is shipping vs other companies. But if your not happy try and see what the supplier can do for you. I'm just a dripper so I don't know how well they work for non-drippers.

Keep vapin!!

Both work fine... I've come to depend on Joye for my 510 as they seem to last forever. Other people love the SLB 510 attys though. I like them just fine, and they should perform just fine.

See what the vendor has to say. Probably just forgot to update his website with the info. when he switched over to SLB. Suppliers sometimes will go with several orders from several manufacturers just to try to keep product in. Nothing sinister I'm sure.

Someone has spoken my name and summoned the devil!!! ;)

I've received a lot of Joye 510 atties in my day, from various reputable dealers (TW, Cignot, etc..) and have yet to see a genuine Joye 510 atty that has the "washer" construction. And my last batch has a fairly recent ship date, so I don't believe that Joye themselves has changed their manufacturing process.

I will still say with some confidence.. if it has the washer construction, then it is not a Joye 510 atty.

And as I have said before.. there will be those who prefer the "washer style" atty. They usually have resistances in the 3Ω range, so they usually vape a lot like a 901. That means a "cooler" vape than the 510, and with many liquids you will also get less vapor production (but that is still a variable). You may also notice that liquids with more subtle flavors tend to taste a bit "better". Stonger liquids.. and usually tobacco flavors... tend to taste a bit "weaker".

My wife prefers the "clone" style 510 atty with her AFB and Champagne flavors (she also prefers her 901). Personally I prefer "going the other way" with true Joye 510's.. or perhaps even a "low resistance" 510 compatible atty.

I got some several weeks ago too, and saw the referenced photo, but it wasn't clear enough (on my little screen anyway) to tell if mine look like that. Been mostly using other styles, never checked out what a Joye 510 should look like in there, so might do so in order to figure out what mine are... However I do like 901s a lot, so I would just hope these hold up roughly as well (tho I know none of that is the point in this matter).

Looks like Chris hasn't posted in awhile -- hope everything's ok! He's gone above & beyond in some way on all orders I've placed with him (which isn't the only reason I'd hope someone is ok ;)).

I finally got this issue straight with Chris on the phone. He's as a great a guy as everyone has been saying too. Many vendors don't even have phone numbers and his is toll free at that!

He had some of the SLBs (or whatever you call them) laying around and evidently someone helping him put them in my order by mistake. He's sending the Joyes now and is expecting me to send the SLBs back in turn - cross shipping them. What better customer service can you ask for? He has my credit card number so it's little risk for him but I doubt many other vendors would do that as it's too much hassle to keep up with I would think.

Actually, Chris got the SLBs by mistake from a supplier. About a thousand of them. But rather than hassle with trying to return them he just kept them and pretty much ate the cost. He was down to the last few when this happened. I forget how he said he got rid of the rest of them. Family and friends maybe.

Thanks for all the help and input guys!

:)
