Single Coil 1.7 in a DCT tank ... Now we're cooking !!

Novice vapor here ..... bought some smoktech dct 1.5 ohm dual coil tanks to use on my ego 650 mah batteries and while they worked okay the vapor was very cool and not to my liking and seemed to draw the batteries down rapidly .... thanks to all the threads on the ecf i ordered some 1.7 single coil flanged cartomizers to use ... they arrived this morning and work so much better ... for me an "old guy" all the electronic stuff is making my brain tired , but now I have something that is working very good now ....... so for any one like me who needs some directions ...... the 1.7 ohm single coil cartomizers and a ego twist set at 4.0 volts .... very nice indeed .. thanks again ECF couldn't have done it without your help

I don't like the double coils either. Give me the 1.7ohm XL Smoketech carto on my Twist or Itaste and I'm happy as a clam.

I'm so much more satisfied switching from dual coils to a single coil cartomizer. I prefer a cooler vape so I use 2.5 - 3.0 ohm cartos in my cartotanks on my variable voltage mods. Ikenvape Platinum or Ikenvape 510 Fusions punched carts.

I also prefer the single over dual. I've been using 2.0 ohm singles for a while and I love them!!!

I have a dct 1.5 tried it on a 650 also but I put it on a vamo and the juice is better with higher voltage.
I'm waiting on a 510 sct-v2 3.5ml tank,and hope it works well on the 650.

Dual coil cartos are pretty worthless IMHO unless you are using them at high voltages. Powering a pair of 3ohm coils takes a lot of power! Far more power than any eGo (VV or not) can supply. I can't even get my DCs to wake up in my VW devices in single battery mode, but with dual 18350s cranked up to 15 watts it produces ridiculous vapor and heat.

Too much for me to be honest. I prefer my single coil 2ohm boges in all my tanks. And they still work OK if I throw them on an ego or non-regulated mod, 1.5ohm DCs were anemic on anything other than high power devices.

Strange ..... Smoktech still sells these tanks with the dual coil , when a single coil works so much bettter .... just doesn't sound like a smart business move ....... but for sure will not be any more dual coils coming to my house !!!

Love the single coil for cooler vape, but I always get the Dual Coil for clouds of vapor, it's a bragging right for vaper like me

And they give you those stupid clear plastic drip tips. I just love getting a tank and then immediately replacing the carto and drip tip I was happy to see the UDCT bodies sold separately on Madvapes. Not much cheaper, but still better than buying a carto and drip tip you'll never use.
