Hi marine,
I have a smoketek vv varicool box mod and absolutely love it. I will never go back to stock batteries such as ego which I have used.
The difference is night and day in vaping performance. Not to mention when your atty starts to underperform, on the box mod you can just turn up the voltage a little and squeeze more life out of it!
The box mod may not be pretty or sexy, but it performs like a champ and is very durable. I bought mine last may, dropped it more than I can remember, have sat on it, even melted two Vivi Nova, my fault for not turning safety switch off.
They now offer a 6 amp model which I will be ordering soon. If you get one, you will never look back at stock ecig batteries. Good luck!

I have the groove as a backup, the unit is as light as a feather. It performs like my other VV/VW that I use (Zmax). Since it is my backup, I only use it when my Zmax is drained and I have nothing to use. In the 1 month I have the groove, I have not charged it since I took it out of the box. I have used it, more than 5 times at 1 to 2 hours vape time. When I last checked the battery voltage, it is still at 3.7 volts and I normally set it at 8 to 9 watts. Will make the groove my primary this week, will let you know the battery life.

Technically, no.

2 in series @ 900mAh is still 900mAh. However it is now 900mah @ 7.4v instead of 3.7v. This is where watt/hours come into play. You'll get 6.67Wh with 2 batteries instead in 3.33Wh with one. So you do effectively double the vape time even though mAh is the same.

Thanks for taking the time to clear that up for me ...... I may become educated at some point !!!
