I finally gave RDAs a try about a year ago and was not impressed. I got the original Bully / Phoenix type, easy enough but damn small area to work with. I found a little Fatty V2 by Chris Creations and finally had that " I get it" moment. I love the simple set up and nice air flow.

SO Ive been wanting another nice simple rda, but all of the nice well made atties seem to be designed for elaborate dual coils, with parallel wires, twisted wires, quad coils, spirals, inception, etc.
I want to get something simple with ONE hole that is adjustable. I dont want to drill holes myself, Im a bit OCD and if I mess it up it will scream at me.

Is there anything comparable to the Fatty V2 , well made and simple that doesnt cost almost 100.00. Heck I guess if there is not anything else, I could get another Fatty.

May I offer a somewhat odd suggestion? Look through the offerings at FastTech for dual coil designs. Then the comments on them. What you're looking for are complaints that the manufacturer failed to clone properly and there are just one set of airholes instead of two. I know I've seen a few there that had that issue but they'd be just what you want. And you get the bonus of looking like one of the kewl kids with the latest popular RDA ;)

Quasar and Atomic offer you the best of both worlds with a rotating ring that allow air flow for a single or dual coil. Both have good size decks. I believe the Quasar is a 22mm and the Atomic is 19 mm.

I just picked up a Patriot clone that is nice and has a single hole drilled in the cap that vapes real nice but you have to be careful because they are sold both way, drilled for single or dual coils.

Do yourself a favor and get one with an adjustable ring, it's great if down the road you decide you want to go dual.

I just ordered several of the A6 mini's (ref. https://www.fasttech.com/p/1604800). Can't give first hand experience but they look promising and have good reviews.
Great mini, excellent flavor, horrible looking cap (my opinion) but for under $6 I really can't complain. But without airflow control like OP asked for.

IGO-W and IGO-L come to mind as many of the older IGO-W came with a single air hole but the newer ones have 2. You can get the older single hole caps for both the IGO-W and IGO-L (caps are interchangeable) from Kidney Puncher drilled to your specs. The Omega also comes setup for either a single or duel coil air holes.

Got an Atomic clone to try out, very nice so far, good taste and easy set up. Im really liking the Magma, but I just wish I could get one that does not have logos plastered all over. I posted a message on the FB page about a plain one. We'll see :)

I like the design of the Magma two posts with air holes right under the coils and being able to close off one side.
