Single vapers, date smokers?

Hmm... This is a question I've been pondering lately and I still don't know the answer. I would rather find a girl who vapes. ;-)

I like the smell of girls way too much to have that masked. Sounds strange I suppose, but there are some really good smelling things girls spritz or shower themselves with!

I wouldn't. You know what they say about people who quit? They're the worst critics. Well I'm taking my turn. Not really, If I liked someone enough to date them smoking would be one of the last things on my mind.

This is a very interesting question. My divorce will be final in 2 weeks (after 17.5 yrs married/20 together...) and my sisters and friends are pushing the eHarmony and Match.com stuff.... so do I weed out the smokers right from the beginning? I feel like such a hypocrite after smoking for over 20yrs. But still... something tells me it would bother me. Is that terrible?

hate to tell you this... but i have a friend with a prosthetic leg and she dances more often (and better) than I do.

I know it seems hypocritical to say "I'm and ex-smoker and I won't date a smoker" I struggle with it myself...but, 1 week into vaping, the smell of cigarette smoke makes me gag. How can I date someone that makes me gag? I dunno, maybe the horrid reaction to the smell will wear off, maybe it won't....only the future knows (queue twilight zone music)

In the grand scheme of things, smoking is the last of the baggage I'm worried about coming into a relationship... so I guess I'm equal opportunity.

Its sad to say but i just can't stand being around smokers anymore. My ex-wife smokes and everytime she comes around to get the kids she makes me gag. The smell of smoke is just horrible. I couldnt see dating anyone that smokes as its just to icky for me in my "old" age

If non-smokers (or vapers) automatically ruled out dating smokers, then my husband would not have dated me (at the time he was quit and I was not). Happily, he chose to overlook my stinky habit, and we've enjoyed a VERY happy relationship for the past 9 years.

I used to have a steer clear of dating non-smokers because “I” was self conscious of the smell. Being with a smoker was just more comfortable, and I didn’t want another person in my life nagging me about quitting.

But now, I wonder how many great guys I passed up because of it? Hmmmmm
So yeah, I wouldn’t cross anyone off the list.

Of course if the smell is gonna make you gag….I’m thinking that might not get you too far in the whole “personal relations” department! I’m just saying…

The idea of smoking versus non-smoking doesn't enter into my thoughts at all. Same as when I was a smoker....not a factor, let alone a deal-breaker. Now past arrests for ax-murder....that's a deal breaker.

We may think smoking versus vaping is a big issue right now because we have all recently made the change and we are excited by it. But in the big scheme of things in relationships....it hardly compares to real compatability issues. Hug a smoker today, they deserve a break....

I'm not trying to be a snob, or snub a smoker of the lovin' they deserve...not in the least.
My only observation to this point, is that even when my son comes into the house smelling of smoke, I tell him he stinks, I don't want him around me. How in the world would I be able to kiss...hug...or cuddle someone with a smell on them that sets my gag reflexes off? It's the same thing as dating someone with terrible B/O....smoke is a body order, come to think of it. I know, it's harsh, and maybe my sniffer will change it's mind at some point.
