I was at Six Flags/Marine World in Vallejo, SF last week-end spent several hours there vaping whenever I felt like it. Getting past the metal detectors was not a problem at all - i just dumped my 901 + spare batteries etc. (in a spectacle case) and all the other metal items on my person in one of the baskets and waltzed though the gate :)

I was just at Six Flags for Halloween in LA, I just left my SB in the car. Went without for a few hours. I didn't want to try taking the SB in with me, figured they would definitely question it and didn't want the hassle. Anyone actually taken a MOD to six flags with them? A pen style is one thing, but a huge silver bullet style mod is another, LOL...

i havent been to six flags in 7 years. i had a season pass 6 years in a row but i stop going. got tired of waiting 2 hrs just to ride. i remember when i used to go, i can only do like 4 rides because of the line. by the time you get home, your dead tired from walking and standing around. didnt they have a water park now?

Atlanta does. Six Flags without a Flash pass is insanity. With one I've never waited more than one rotation. The wife and I are coaster junkies and hit it several times a year.

If it works like most metal detectors (including older walk-through units at airports) simply cover with hand to prevent detection. Aiport personnel have told me many times to simply put my hand over my belt buckle or large pocket of change in order to prevent setting it off. (note: this is in no way intended as a post to circumvent airport security)

If a person was really intent on getting a gun into an amusement park I don't think a metal detector is going to stop them.

If a person is intent on commiting a crime they're gunna do it no matter how much you make the law abiding citizens comply with pat downs/metal detectors or disallowing bags/etc in places.

If you can smoke in six flags I'd say go ahead and take your PV.
