This is going to be a long post. If that bothers you, avoid posting a useless 'tl;dr' comment and just turn back now.
Introduction:
Recently I grabbed two sample bundles (A sampler consists of three 15 mL bottles of whatever you want at one nicotine strength per sampler) from FuzionVapor. I'm going to go straight into the reviews, but I would like to mention that I do have a question about one of the flavors and that's at the end of this review. I will not be including it in the actual review because I have not heard anybody that has reviewed said flavor bring this up.
reviews:
Hell Frozen Over
One word came out of my mouth after my first puff of this juice: "Wow!" This is some powerful stuff, haha. This was the first flavor I tried out of either sampler pack, and it essentially set the tone for the rest. Hell Frozen Over starts out with a kick to your taste buds that tastes like those Atomic Fireball jawbreakers. To anyone that hasn't had one, it's a hot, sweet, cinnamon-y flavor. Now, I say 'starts out' because as soon as you start inhaling it immediately turns into an arctic hadouken to the back of the throat. Seriously, the 'refreshing' feeling you get afterwards is on par with Listerine, minus the stinging and somewhat unpleasant aftertaste Listerine gives me. Start with a smaller draw though, because that arctic blast hits fast and hard, and you most likely won't be expecting it the first time.
(Side-story: I actually woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and after hopping back into bed I grabbed one of two ego-C Twists on my night stand. What I thought had been a tank loaded with The Griffin was actually Hell Frozen Over. I took a fairly large draw and since I was tired I wasn't really paying attention. Upon inhaling I was more awake and alert than if someone were to have dumped a cup of cold water on my face xD)
The Griffin
This review is going to be short. Not because this is a bad flavor, but because it's extremely difficult to describe this flavor. I mostly get a nutty flavor, and maybe a little caramel, with a little tobacco, and a subtle fruity flavor that shows up every now and then. Every time I drop this into a tank I chain-vape it until it's gone. Why? It just keeps bringing me back. It's such a cluster-**** of flavor I have to keep vaping it just so my taste buds can try to figure it out.
Unicorn Blood
I have heard this compared to Hawaiian Punch and Skittles, but to me it tastes like neither. I do taste a similarity to a fruit punch flavor, but other than that all I can say about this flavor is it's really, really fruity. Like, really fruity. I could never vape this as a regular simply because it'd be like vaping candy all day. While I don't chain vape Unicorn Blood, it is a nice treat every now and then! If you're looking for a strong, fruity flavor that may or may not remind you of Hawaiian Punch or Skittles (If you don't like either of these I would still recommend you try it, because I believe people compare Unicorn Blood to these because it's the closest they can get to describing it) Unicorn Blood might be your dream vape. All in all, I guess if I had to give a short description of it, I'd say it tastes like FuzionVapor's twist on fruit punch.
Dragon's Tempest
This is the one FV juice I feel like I have a pretty good handle on. To me, it primarily tastes like dragon fruit and a slight hint of bubblegum. The catch, though, is that it's very subtle. It's actually not a bad thing at all, taste-wise, but it'll make you want to keep vaping it over and over and over again in an attempt to get a bit more of the flavor. Again, this might sound bad, but I don't actually find this to be a bad thing while vaping on it.
Rasta Blood
I think this will be an all-day vape. Now, I went in expecting an intense, extremely pronounced strawberry taste with heavy white chocolate flavoring and a very slight herb-y aftertaste. While these are accurate flavors that do exist in this juice, the actual combination of them varies. What always seems to take a back seat to the flavor in all the Rasta Blood reviews is how important steeping is with this particular juice. I should explain: over time, this juice will change. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing is up to you, but I generally found it to be a good thing. Every time I tried this juice, it would contain the three staple flavors: Strawberry (Not like candy strawberry, but like strawberry jam or fresh strawberry), white chocolate, and a slight herbal taste. Out of the box, the strongest taste was the herb, then came the strawberry, and finally white chocolate. The white chocolate was extremely subtle though, and almost nonexistent. I left the top off the juice over night and continued to vape what was in my tank for the next day until it ran out. After leaving the top off for the night I put it back on and let it steep for two more days. I then washed the same tank (I had a different flavor in it) and filled it up with the Rasta Blood. This time the strawberry came through a lot stronger and I was actually able to taste the white chocolate more (Still not a lot at all though, but every now and then it comes through more for one or two drags). The herbal taste was still there, but not very prevalent. What really surprised me, though, was the surprise hint of minty-ness that crept into my mouth after the exhale. It hadn't been there at all when I had been vaping it before it steeped for a bit, it just... appeared lol. So I let it steep for another day (Two days counting the day I tried it as well) and that brings us to yesterday. Without washing the tank (Rasta Blood was the last flavor in it) I filled it up with the liquid and yet again it changed on me! A tiny bit more menthol (Still mostly after the exhale), a tiny bit less strawberry (Still prevalent, just a tad less), less herbal taste, and a bit more of the white chocolate (Primarily during exhale). Today I have now made up my mind; I'm getting a 120 mL container of Rasta Blood ASAP. Actually, I'm not 100% positive. Since FV's liquids are mainly VG (AFAIK) I might go up to 24 mg/mL nicotine because 18 didn't feel like much at all (The nic was there, but the throat kick wasn't. Although I actually think I prefer this, because I can get the higher amounts of nicotine I crave without feeling like I'm getting punched in the throat too hard), and I'm not sure if I want extra flavor shots in there or not. What I mean by that is that FV has little modifications you can add to their juices, and the choices are a Cooling Agent or Menthol. I haven't tried either of these yet so I guess I'll see what they're like. Now the rest of this liquid's review is going to be about the 'herbal' taste I keep mentioning. Yes, this is the somewhat infamous ......... flavor that pops up into various liquids every now and then. Besides Cannabi-null (Which I really want to try) most of these flavors get absolutely wretched reviews, so I was a little skeptical, but most reviewers hadn't mentioned anything negative about it. Well, I know the taste well, and (at least IMO) "mary jane" (As the site calls it) is not what this flavor is. While I was worried about this, it ended up not being a problem, because the herbal flavor is still not a bad one. If you despise everything herbal you might want to steer clear of this juice, or at least let it steep for a week before trying it, but if you have no problem with the idea of the taste I definitely recommend you give this juice a try, and if you don't like it just let it steep for a couple days and you might change your mind!
You know what? When I went to FuzionVapor's site to make sure I remembered the flavor mods correctly I decided I'm just gonna order another sampler; 24 mg/mL, an RB with a Cooling Agent, an RB with Menthol, and some Gummy Blood I haven't tried yet.
XTC
Imagine yourself on the beach of an island, sitting back on a reclined chair, with a pina colada in your hand. Now, I'm fairly young and have never been in that situation, but I swear this juice takes me there. If you don't like coconut, stop reading this review and don't even think about this juice again, but if you don't mind it this is definitely something to consider trying. It's kind of like a pina colada flavor, but a bit more tropical and not too much pineapple. Not really much else to say about this one, I suppose it makes up for the ridiculously long Rasta Blood review, haha.
Just realized I forgot to mention something rather interesting about Fuzion's liquids. Many (if not all) of their flavors come with vitamins in them! Yeah, freaking vitamins in your e-liquid, it's about time! A great example of this is Rasta Blood. IIRC it has some B12 in it to give you a little energy boost and I have to say... it might just be placebo but I think it definitely works! When I really start vaping on it (Usually when I'm watching TV or something) for a while I eventually notice a little buzz, like I had a bit of coffee or something. I was able to sleep fine even after vaping some at night, but I am able to go to sleep after coffee and energy drinks so you might want to figure out if the buzz affects you before you vape it right before bed time just in case.
Note: All flavors were at 18 mg nicotine (But they feel like less because of what I'm about to say, so you might wanna go up. E.G. I normally go for 18 mg/mL but I think next time I order from Fuzion I'll be bumping it up to 24 because there's almost no throat kick) and as a rule of thumb (IIRC) all FuzionVapor liquids (I almost want to call them experiences instead of liquids) are VG-dominant VG/PG blends. Most of these liquids get MUCH better after steeping. Also, just because I like a flavor does NOT mean you will! I have never seen a liquid that everyone feels the same way about. As has been stated on these forums: While I cannot recommend these individual flavors to everyone, I can recommend FuzionVapor as one of the best e-liquid companies I have ever bought from (Actually, this is my new favorite company). The only downside to their liquids is that they are straight-up addicting! When you find a FV flavor you like, you will vape it over and over and over again just to get that amazing, un-explainable FuzionVapor experience.
Quick Question for People That Have Tried Rasta Blood:
Okay, does anyone else notice a weird urge to cough when vaping on Rasta Blood? I am not talking about a throat hit, I don't really get any of that, but when I vape it I get a weird urge to cough near, on, and/or after the exhale. I am a little sick, but none of the other liquids do this to me. Now, the weird part comes right after a short disclaimer: I am not condoning the use of illegal substances, and I know this next part might be a little.. I don't know, inappropriate?... for these forums, but I'm going to try to say it as safely as possible and hopefully it'll be fine. If it's not, I'll remove this area of the post, it's just that this is the most accurate way for me to describe what it's like. Anyways, you know that 'herbal' taste it has to it? Well, oddly enough the urge to cough that occurs while vaping Rasta Blood is very similar to the urge to cough one might get after... experiencing... the herb that it's supposed to taste like. Has anyone else experienced this urge to cough? If it's normal, that's fine and I can actually see it just becoming part of the uniqueness of the juice, but if it's really bad for me and/or it hasn't happened to anyone else than I should do some research before vaping any more of it. My brother gets the same urge to cough when he tries it, but he doesn't use nicotine on a regular basis so it could partially be due to throat hit (Although he knows the difference and said what made him cough was not the throat it, and it was something totally different, then agreed with my explanation of what it felt like).
