What is the best heat source to use for applying the skins? I don't have a heat gun(but I may be able to borrow one), would a three jet torch lighter work if done carefully?

Kay, lol. I guess I overestimated the heat needed. Glad I asked. Gonna have to borrow one. I don't have enough hair left to require a hair dryer. lol
just use a bic lighter...but be careful with it. stove burner on high works too, although you have to get kinda close, so unless you cook for a living and have lost most of the sensation in your hands, it might get a tad hot for ya.
Hair Dryer. Start with the creased sides and heat them up then just heat the whole thing spinning it. Make sure you have a carto screwed on to hold it.

btw.....requests for return/exchange on batteries with scorch marks or melted silicon O-rings will not only be denied.....but you'll have to wait for me to stop laughing to hear the "ah....no".
