Hello all, I don't have a background in electronics to speak of so I guess I'm pretty much a noob. I have made a VV mod using the mad vapes board with the power source being a wall transformer, and it works. I am working on a new copper mod and I want to make it a VV With a touch switch. I Want to use the madvaps board that comes with this chip http://www.madvapes.com/assets/images/NCP630-D.pdf

I don't think the chip has mosfet capabilities ( I could be wrong ) so I want to incorporate some type of mosfet. I realize the mad vapes board is not the most desired type out there but it's what I have to work with at this point and I would like to make it work. I have some of the TI boards but that's for another post.

So basically my goal is to create a touch switch "or" use a lower amp rated push button type switch. Using a wall transformer as my power source.

If I could make it a touch switch then what additional components would I require?
Would I need a p-channel mosfet? If so, what type? Where could I get one?

I want to use a 3 amp wall transformer as a power source, no batteries.

Here are some pics of the shell of the mod:

Nice etching, I would really like to hear more about the process. Anyone catch the "the steampunk" that got booted for selling? Sadly I missed even seeing it, I was wondering if this might be it but I doubt it. If anyone has pics cached, I would love a PM. Not to buy, but just to see :)

Not the same as the Steampunk. That was a copper tube mod with a large hex union of some sort on the bottom - no etching.
