Slight beeping noise...

7/10 times i fire my new provari i get a strange ringing/beeping noise similar to a dog whistle.
is this normal? dangerous? should i contact provape?

i've never heard anything like that coming from my ProVari... i would contact provape if i were you... just to make sure.. good luck!!

That is most likely the L7 component on the circuit board. It can make this sound sometimes if the amperage limit is getting reached. If you lower the voltage a couple points, it should make it go away.



Also, this can happen on certain attys or cartos and not others because of the way the coil was wound."


so i put a new carto on and the issue is resolved.

YES. I noticed the exact same thing the other day and was wondering what it was

can I ask what carto this happened with? I have not had this experience.

it was a boge 2.3 ohm carto at 4.9v

happens to me quite a bit with genesis style atomizers: usually they are ~1.4 Ohm coils so perhaps they take that L7 component to the amperage limit.
