....!! I slipped again and have been smoking since March 27. I decided since it was my birthday I would smoke a few while having some beers. UGGGG! I have 4 more left and will smoke them and starting tomorrow go back to full vaping. I am still vaping too but it feels like I can't get a good drag off any cartos or batteries. I have kept them cleaned and everything. It would have been a year in May but I screwed up! The drags of the ecig were fine before but they just seem harder to get a good one now. I need something new to get me excited again about vaping. I just vape what I am use to which is menthol, tried all the others, liked some but mainly just decided it was easier in my busy life to stick to one. But I also have some breathing problems due to scoliosis. So I am gonna get myself some new batteries :) Waiting on the stealth ones to come back in stock. I have never tried an auto battery only manuals. I think I will get one! Thanks for reading this blah blah blah. LOL

You have not failed, but you have won. For every cigarette NOT smoked is something to be proud of. You only fail if you stop vaping all together.~ Those are the words I have herd many many times from Born, Saw, and Smilin. And I too believe that they are true. It is a half full half empty kind of deal.

Don't be too hard on yourself. It took me nearly a month to quit smoking one I started vaping. Even once I was vaping full time, my friend would come over with her analogs, offer me one, and there I was - smoking. For me, it was important to acknowledge that I am an addict. Like an alcoholic cannot have 1 drink even after being sober for a year, I cannot have even 1 analog despite how long it has been since I had one. In fact, that is how I got into my most recent period of smoking before I started vaping. When I first started smoking, I smoked 5 or fewer cigarettes a day (morning, lunch, before bed, mainly). Then it was 1/2 PPD, and then a full PPD. It worried me, so I quit. It had been 4 months. I was craving one and said to myself, "I can have just 1... I'd never go back to a PPD." Well, that one turned into the full pack. I swear that cigarettes are like Lays potato chips to me. I can't have just 1 (or 3 or 5). I will look down and there were be 3 left in the pack.

If you are not getting the same experience from your vaping experience, I would update it with new cartos. Fresh cartos should help your experience with drags. New batteries help too, especially if you have the older style with the black buttons. I found the black button ones had too airy a draw. The gold button ones are more analog-like.

Hang in there!

Get a couple of the King Diamond shorties Ms. Brooke, they are very much like analogs. It will give you something new to play with and get your mind off analogs... Hopefully all will work out for you....

+1 for the Diamonds...they are the closest to analogs I've found, and I've tried quite a few...let's see...801, 510, Ego, Spade, Little Sister, Prodigy and a few more that I can't think of right now.

I also fell off the wagon and I am trying to get back on that wagon again. Sometimes we have set backs. It is nothing to be ashamed of. Next time you may not fail if put in the same circumstances. I was analog free for 5 months when I slipped up and smoked analogs for 6 months and now I am analog free again. The lure of those analogs are strong, and it is a habit that is very difficult to break. You were analog free once, you will be analog free again, and you have learned to not pick up that pack again, so you have won.

Thanks for posting this. Honestly, thank you.

I started a thread here maybe a month ago, and I said I can't have one, not ONE. I know myself all too well. I know I could go back, very easilly. It starts with the first puff. That first drag. If I NEVER take that first puff, that first drag on a ...., I know I cannot ever smoke again.

Sharing your experience has helped me to remember that. I am the type that can NEVER take even that ONE puff, not today, tomorrow, or ever. I am finally old enough to learn from other's mistakes. I don't want to post a thread like yours.

Please don't misunderstand me. You can get back on the horse. Don't get down on yourself. You will win the war, but maybe not every single battle. But know that by posting this, you have helped at least one other person. Me. Thanks.

Words of wisdom from those with battle scars to prove the fight might be difficult but worth it! I keep changing flavors and nicotine levels, still looking for my "sweet spot" but what I found was change was helping me over the cravings. I am still so new to all this and with so much yet to learn but I know I can rely on these wonderful people to help me on my journey :) I've never seen one negative post...only positive support - everyone helping one another!

So, get back on the horse and should you ever fall again, let us help you back on :)
