When posting a 'Reply' or starting a 'New Thread', typing in this forum is painfully slow. What I mean is that while I can type at about 40WPM, the text doesn't display in the E-cigarette text box any faster than about 5WPM!!

Any one else find this problem? [And it takes forever to correct one's text with this slowness, and I am a member of many forums, and I have not had this issue with any others, so it ain't me!]

That problem would be on your end, not the server's. The only time data even goes on the internet AT ALL is when you hit the submit button. I make forms all day long so I'm 1000% positive of that. The form is probably javascript heavy so you may want to try a different browser or something.

100-120wpm here, no problems

Fritchard, if I can't type at 200WPM in a forum, then I'm just not interested.

But seriously, you are correct: I am now using Internet Explorer, and there are absolutly no lag problems in typing.

I guess it's just another one of the many bugs I keep finding in Chrome.

Thanks,

Might I suggest you try Firefox before ever using IE again?

I tried Firefox for over a year, and it was so darn slowwwwww. That's why I started using Chrome last year, and why I am putting up with Chrome's eccentricities; on average, Chrome is many times faster than either Firefox or IE -- especially on startup.

I used to have the same issue with Firefox. I used Chrome for a while because Firefox ran very slow on my laptop for some unknown reason. But the newer versions of Firefox have run very well for me. You may want to consider giving it another shot.

I'll give it a try again Angus, 'cause besides the many bugs that Chrome has (and has had forever, with Google never bothering to fix a thing), is that I really miss the Firefox extension Adblocker, as well as a proper auto-fill capability.

I hear you there. I use Adblock Plus and NoScript, and they make things so much nicer for web surfing.
