Hello. Today is my third day cig/chew free. The first two days where easier. Today I just felt blah. Please tell me it gets better soon :D No urge to smoke the real deal. Just blah bah  Sore joints and fevers......bah

Hi, Rose, and everyone:) I know all about the just blah bah lol. I had smoked for over 30 years and was up to 2 or more packs a day when I started vaping. In my case, which probably won't be as severe for you unless you smoked for a really long time too, I was quite sick for two whole weeks. I felt lethargic---had no interest in anything- and just wanted to sleep or lay around doing pretty much nothing at all. Plus I felt physically weak and feverish during the day and at night while I slept I had severe sweats. I would sweat so much that I soaked my bedding and had to wash it all when I got up. Then there were the body aches on top of that... I just felt like a walking zombie lol I was vaping 36mg liquid and thought maybe I was vaping too much so cut it back to 24 mg and that did help a lot. After 3 days of reducing my mg, I started feeling better. And I just now started to smell things again. It has been a couple months now since I started vaping, so it has taken that long for my body to recover from the stinkies. I can finally taste things again too now.
Congrats on being cig/chew free for 3 days!!! It does get better...just hang in there!
:D

How awesome that you made this switch from smoking after 30 years! For the past 5 years I switched between chewing and smoking. 2 months ago I switched back to smoking after a 2 year hiatous from smoking. It was very painful. 1 can of the nasty lip turds I chewed had about the same nic content of 4 &1/2 packs of smokes, and I chewed a can a day. Was smoking about 1/2 pack a day. Then a couple weeks ago I was up around 1 and 1/2 packs a day. Wow typing all of this up makes me wonder if I really am a sicko into self torture lol. Plus the several cold turkey attemts...hmmm. Vaping has honestly been most helpful and so have the folks at this forum hopefully I whip a 17 year nicotine addiction.

I am still not feeling 100% yet but no longer have the night sweats and fevers. Body aches have almost totally disappeared now and I am much more active. I don't feel lethargic or depressed anymore either. I do miss that instant rush from having a cig but I am not craving the nic like I did when I tried patches and gum. Just not as active yet as I was before I quit smoking. On the other hand, I am not wheezing at night anymore and keeping myself awake from the noise either so I will be able to sleep better and feel more rested which in the long run will be worth the initial misery of not smoking anymore. I'm still drinking lots of water and herbal tea trying to flush the toxins from my system. It seems to be helping.

Way to go Rose!!! Glad you feel better. Congrats on the week with no smoking and/or chewing! I had a cig day before yesterday. But for me not bad. I have been worried about the gov taking our eliquid too. I been buying eliquid both flavored and not from a lot of places. Spent over 700 on that this month. Going to have a small stock just in case. Paranoia or realistic??? idk...but just trying to be prepared in case that bomb drops on us. Can always share with people I figure.

Congrats on your success. I am still fighting the annalogs. Every time I get something new it doesn't work out well for me. I don't have a lot of money to keep trying but really want to beat this. I keep praying I find the solution. I don't smoke much like I used to so that is good but want to find a ejuice that works for me. I tried 100% VG and it makes me sick but use 30PG/70 VG and it agrees with me so that is weird. I need a better system too I think that would make a difference. I am proud of you and keep up the great accomplishments you are having:)

Was finally able to get a good workout in today. Did the ton of water thing. Which I have been mega .... about for years. Like a gallon a day. Wanted to update this in case someone else has these probs peeks at it. Lots of fruits and veggies. Like a cleanse. Then at night ate one good solid meal. I was able to make it through some tough stressful times and not smoke. Once you start to feel better trust me going back seems not as attractive. So yeah back to the veggies (not sure if scattolagy is allowed here but...) for a few days I went nuts with them. Just wanted to purge my body, and get it over with. Every day for the past week I eat half of a medium (about 1 lb) veg party tray. Plus about 2-3 cups of misc. berrys everyday. Just grazed all day ha ha. Sometimes I would eat almonds or a protien shake. Then last night I had a BM (bowel movement) that was almost pure veg lol. Woke up and felt better. Worked out ate some human food and had a great day. The grazing helped keep my mind off the smokes. With every bite I would think of how much closer I was getting to feeling way better. Thanks for the help ;)

Hope you are still doing well, Rose! This is encouraging to hear. I had my last analog today. It was a stressful day and I smoked the last one I had...so its all vaping for me now. I haven't been sick from not having 2+ packs a day for awhile now so hopefully thats all behind me.
Keep us updated on how you're doing.

My "workouts" consist of gardening, walking my dogs, and cleaning up the house lol I used to go to the gym and do workouts but I can't find time for it nowdays. I am glad to hear you are feeling better and not smoking or chewing. Glad you are eating right too; that is key. I think vaping is so much healthier than smoking and so grateful to have it as an alternative. The thing that scared me most was when I got to the point of constant wheezing when I went to bed. I could not put my head on the pillow without listening to myself wheeze loudly. I knew at that point that 30+ years of smoking were catching up to me fast. I had an uncle die of lung cancer at age 45(from smoking); and I am 48 now. I knew that if I kept smoking I wasn't going to be around much longer. Vaping literally saved my life. It was my last hope, really.

I didnt smoke as much as you did, but I went thru that sluggish, blah, body achy stage too. I read some articles about people who stopped smoking with out the use of e-cigs and it seems to be a normal side effect of quitting cigarettes. Its your body ridding itself of all the toxins and your lungs getting rid of all that junk, hang in there, it will get better and better. Congrats on a great decision.

Sorry to hear about the loss and hardships. It is always sad to see family die from that. Great news that you're feeling better and if you do end up having a hard time breathing later on I have good news for you. Quitting vaping is really not that bad on the nicotine withdrawls. I quit for a day this week 18mg to nothing, and it wasn't too bad. Going from cigarettes to the strongest patches was worse. Now it was only one day and I did start vaping again. Still I considered it a huge feat just to make it 5 hours without a cigarette only a month ago.
