just like the title says, i'm new to vaping (3 weeks today) and i just ordered a five pack of the standard/small clearomizers. I have a Volcano Inferno (wich i understand is a eGo battery) and ordered a Inferno cone for covering the atomizer. I want to be able to use this setup with a drip tip on top. Does any have this setup? Inferno or Joye eGo with the cone cover and small clearos? I want to use the cone but am concerned that the small clearo will be recessed into the cone and unusable :( help? and thanks!

Most cartomizers and clearomizers will be long enough to clear the cone. Adding a drip tip will definitely make them long enough. The problem that you may have with a clearomizer is that it will be too wide to fit through the narrow end of the cone. Grinding or sanding off a little of the end of the cone will help.

yeah like cyberwolf said -- i tried on a cone at a local shop and the narrow end wouldnt fit over my clearo. You can get big bore cones or shorty cones and those should work (well they should work on an ego, i would assume they would thread the same on an inferno?)

Or grinding down the cones you get as above.

thanks everyone! but if clearos are too fat for the cones, what atomizer fits inside the cones?

Most atomizers will fit completely inside the cones and do not need to protrude through the small hole although some, like the dual coil atomizers, will be just a bit longer. Cartomizers are typically longer and need to fit through the smaller hole. In my experience any steel or metal carto will fit easily. Black ones usually have a black wrapper that may or may not make them a tight fit that ruins the airflow. Some fit well, some don't. The clear plastic is thicker than metal, so most clear cartos will be a tight fit in a normal cone. A wide bore cone will work or they can be modified.

I ordered a shorty cone for my Kgo, I think it'll look a bit nicer because I dont like the big one. Does it actually serve a purpose other than covering the threading?

The shorty cones are for appearance only. A regular cone does trap a little warmth, theoretically making for a warmer vape, but whether its enough to be noticeable or not is up for discussion. I like them for the looks and some protection against occasional leakage from the bottom of the carto.

Speaking from my experiences with the CE2 clearomizers from royalsmokers/microcig the standard ego cones do not fit, they can be ground down however if you are handy with a dremel or other such tools. Just remember if you chose the grinding down method they need to be larger than a tight fit since the slight gap between the cone and the carto is the air intake (on the ones I use that is, I am not sure if thats the golden rule). I just ordered some wider cones from gotvapes that are supposed to fit the CE2s, waiting on them to arrive in the mail. They aren't needed though, its more of an aesthetic thing for me.
