Hey guys, I've already got a ego sized ecig right now but I'm looking for a smaller, slimmer ecig to carry around and use inconspicuously in public places. Do you guys have any opinion of any of the major manufacturers regarding a solid micro vaporizer? I've heard a lot of good things about the Volt, V2, Bloog and Apollo as well as Volcano. Do any of you guys have any opinions or thoughts on any of these devices? Or if you know of some other good ones, feel free to voice your opinion!:) Thank you in advance!

I have a KGO...batteries are great. I got the 1.7 ohm Resurrectors and they were way too much TH for me.

Ordered the Volt and I love it. It really is a good pv for anyone starting out and beyond.

Got 3.0 ohm for the KGO and tried it again. I am starting to warm up to this. Like I said, KGO batts are great. I just had to work my way up to it.

I like my Volt and am starting to like my kgo. I would recommend either.

Oops...I reread your OP and I see you are looking for something inconspicuous. That would not be the kgo, but the Volt might work for you.

Thank you so much guys, really appreciate it. I'm not afraid to be seen in public with the ecig but I live in Louisville and they have a really strict ban on smoking almost everywhere but outside. Its a little bit irritating because everybody freaks out when they see vapor thinking that its smoke. Its amazing how quickly our culture has changed in America regarding smoking. 20 or 30 years ago it was an accepted norm in our society and now people look at you like your a disgusting human being if they see smoke. I think that this stigma hangs over people who vape too, even though there's not scientific data that proves it to be harmful and its probably saving thousands of lives.

I started with an eGo and haven't had any problems stealth vaping with it in public. It's not so large that I can cover practically all of it with my hand when I'm vaping where I probably shouldn't be.

After a while I picked up a 510 kit, more than anything for the silly reason I wanted something with a light up LED on the end. I quickly became frustrated by the very short run times on 510 batteries. And the manual batteries last even less than auto batteries. You can go the 510 route, but be prepared to buy extra batteries and a PCC if you expect to you use it for more than a couple hours per day away from a plug in charger. You will be into it $$$ for as much as you paid for your eGo.

The two most popular and best supported slim minis are Joye 510 and KR808D-1 models (V4L, and the other style Volt/Bloog/G6, and original manufacturer model. V4L allows the longest drags, the Volt style group has a bit more charge and is rubberized). I always recommend manuals and most people here use manuals - harder to damage or kill the batteries with juice leaks, easier to get a good hit.

I believe Apollo is compatible with noting but itself

Volcano Magma is a 510, Inferno is an Ego (fat battery 510), Lavatube is a mod, and "Volcano" is the weakest choice

KR808D-1: the strongest slim mini
Volt and Bloog and G6 are the same thing
V2 is the same as V4L but charges a lot more for parts and probably only V4L has the custom 10-13 second cutoff instead of 5 seconds

This topic has been discussed frequently on ECF. From the hundreds (if not more) comments, most people's experience is the less your PV looks like the real thing, the more acceptence one finds for vaping. I know that is true for me. When I vaped one that looked like the real thing, I got a number of negative comments. Once I switched to models that look nothing like the real thing (currently a variable volt Darwin), I have receive only positive comments. Many of us vape openly (but respectfully) in restruants, sports bars, stores, etc without any problems. It is also a good opportunity to educated the uninformed about the positive aspects of vaping, which we all need to do.

You may find, like many of us, the less your PV looks like the real thing, the more positive reactions you will receive.

I actually find the polar opposite to be true. When I take my box mod out I get comments of well what ever works for you. I'll just stick to my cigarettes. When I go out with the Volt most people congratulate for finding a safer alternative and "quitting". Also the people that smoke are more apt to try vaping from my experience if they see something familiar looking. If I wouldn't have took my Volt to work and my co worker had only seen my box mod he would still be smoking. When I showed him the Volt he was like hey I need to try this out. I let him pop a fresh carto on it and had to pry it out of his hands to get it back.

Have any of you guys tried the ovale ellips? Looks like a very interesting vaporizer.

Here is a review of it that is fairly comprehensive. Ovale Elips in Canada review and preview of Ego-C ??!! - YouTube

IMHO The Bloog sounds like the best fit for you. The Volt, G6, and Smoov are all identical, but the Bloog costs $5-15 cheaper.

Also, check this thread for current coupon codes to many websites you will be visiting in the near future....http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/146219-coupon-code-master-list.html

I love the mega 510's they are longer than the standard 510's and are lasting me 3 hours if I'm vaping a lot or 5 hours if I get really busy and only vape very infrequently. 2 have been lasting me all day (one on charge with one in use) the shorter ones drove me nuts as I was always waiting for one to finish charging. I would definately recommend the 510mega batts with a PCC and at least 3 batteries so you always have one ready to go at least. I can use good cartomizers (not LR) I'm even using dual coil XL boge cartomizers without any issues. Not sure if they are recommended but I do think u need to avoid any LR cartomizers . I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong

Last cigarette 16th October, 2011. Forever grateful for the support and advice from ECF.

Your experience is opposite of the hundreds of posts on this subject. For most of us, the less it looks like we are pretending to smoke, the more positive reactions we get. The 80% of people who don't smoke are more accepting of something that does not look like a cigarette. The farther we get away from looking like we continue to smoke, the better for gaining acceptence of vaping.

My experience is that the more closely your PV resembles a cigarette, the more likely people will think you're smoking. I vape a small pipe bomb in public all the time (Buzz Pro). No one thinks I'm smoking.
