..... iPV Mini doesn't have buck (step down) despite the specs. Great value though.
Your right! .... I just did a little experiment with my iPV Mini:
I had the idea that the chipset in the iPV Mini would be able to both change output voltage
below and
above battery voltage (based on the ohm coil you were using along with the selected watts you desired).
But I was wrong ... The iPV Mini can in-fact boost output voltage
above battery voltage, but it cannot decrease output voltage below the batteries current voltage:
Using a digital Fluke multimeter, and an authentic Kayfun Lite Plus with a
1.3 ohm single coil, this is the voltage that was shown at the coil screws at various watt settings
BTW ....
The battery at the time of this test was indicating 3.8v
