This is a SCAM! They say they give you a free trial offer, that’s baloney! They send the product to you… no instructions, nothing! And none of the emails they send to you have a number to contact them! They sent me my “Smart Smoker’ e-cigarette and it was sent to my apartment, and instead of leaving it at the office, where UPS and FedEx do, they took it back to the post office and left it there. I picked it up on my next day off approximately 4 days later and tried it out. It was ok. Nothing like I thought it was gonna be like. It has an odd taste and doesn’t feel anything like a real cigarette. But the kicker is that 3 days after actually having the product in hand, they charged me $99.99 for the darn thing! What a “Trial”. I tried calling their “customer service” and no one seemed to care that I was upset about this. I spoke to a lady that we’ll just call “Julie”. She apparently hates her job and wanted to take it out on me. She said that supervisor was unavailable, but somehow she was able to talk to her to tell me that there was no way they could help me but to stop any future shipments.
If you were to ask me, you can get the same product in a local smoke shop for way cheaper and have better customer service too. DO NOT ORDER THE “FREE TRIAL”. It is a waste of money and you probably will be as ...... off as I am. Fair warning!

I am so glad I didn't choose that one. I just spent a couple of hours trying to find one with the look that I wanted, meaning that was pretty much all I had to go from. I did take a look at the terms on that offer and was almost sure it would turn out to be as problematic as you have described here. It's too bad that you had to go through that. I just ordered a starter kit from aquavapor and can't wait to share my experience. Did you find out if there was any money back guarantee? I imagine that if you contact quality control, they will want to keep you from creating more posts like this one!

Smartsmoker has cold-called me 11 "eleven" times since 8:30 this morning. I refused to answer because they wouldn't leave a message. I finally just answered a call and told them to go to hell!!! They "found" me because of my interest in electronic cigarettes on the internet...duh!! Yeah, because I'm always on this forum!!

We should ban this company!!!

Another Scam I hear on a radio advertisement is SMOKE ASASIN. They say it will be a free trial, and ask for your credit card number. From there they send you a smokers kit with pre-filled cartridges every month and charge you $100.00 a month.

I'd say stay away from those "free trial's", and if you do go for it read between the lines and ask all the questions before throwing out the CC#.

Hope you still give electronic cigarette smoking a shot. There are TONS of great products out there for a decent price.

I ordered the smart smoker "free" trial and had tow days left on my extended(?) trial period of 17 days. It was sent certified mail. I was not home when it was delivered so I could not sign for it and it was returned to the post office. because of my work hours I was not able to pick it up for another week. I called the company because I was charged 99.99 from my bank account. I still had not even seen the product. I was treated very rudely whe I called untill I told the woman that I was going to warn others about this scam. She told me that her supervisor would call me back. Well that didn"t happen, so I called again today and I asked the man that I spoke to if it was likely that I was going to get a refund.

So here I am I will warn everyone that I can DO NOT ORDER THE FREE TRIAL!!!!!

I have found an e_cig that I like very much It is called Green Smoke, the customer service is great and they have a free affiliate program that you can join in the business. I have several family members that have tried it and love it. http//greensmoke.com/mare

If there are any others that people have found to be good please let me know, so far this is the best I have found.

The best advice I can give to anyone that is buying their first e-cig is to buy from one of the vendors here. I have used about half a dozen of them so far, and all of them have been great. They ship when they will say they will ship, the only charge what you are expecting to be charged and they all have a way to get in contact with them. Most importantly, they will all answer the phone or reply to your email as best they can.

The vendors that sell here are all members as well and they work hard to satisfy all of their customers. The last thing they want is for someone to be unhappy with them and trash them on this site.

:)M246,

I bought my M402 kit from Absolutelyecigs.com because they are the makers of the M401/2/3. I've had super experiences from Litecigsusa.com, DIYFlavorshack, Wet Your Sticks. Sean from Litecigsusa.com is super wonderful.

I did 3 solid days of research (lurking) on this forum before I decided which make and model I was interested in. It can definitely get very confusing but it's so worth it.

Please, everybody, do your research before plunking down a lot of money for something you may regret...and stay far away from Smartsmoker!!!

Sorry to hear of your troubles Renae. Hopefully this won't have put you off trying E-Cigs properly from a more reputable supplier.

As optsmk suggested, try out of the "known" suppliers listed on this site. Take a gander at the front page, toward the bottom and check out the reviews on some of them there.

Most of them are known to be trustworthy and reliable suppliers.

Grrr....I'm going to kill my hubby! He told me he ordered some ecigs and wanted me to check and see why it wasn't here. I assumed he ordered from Rocky Mountain Vapor or Good Prophets, as I usually do.

Wrong!! He ordered from these bozos and was very proud of himself for the "great" deal he go!! I'm going to kick his ....!! I NEVER buy anything without doing a little research first and when it comes to ecigs, this is the first place I check. So,I check here after finding out who he ordered from, and what pops up? This thread! He could have done one little search and saved a lot of headaches!

Anyway, he hasn't gotten anything from them yet and our credit card was charged on 1-13. I'm on the phone with Visa right now telling them. Their website doesn't tell anything about any other charges, actually it doesn't tell much about nothing! That should have been his first clue!!

The site is Here:

https://www.getsmartsmoker.com/?mid=629386&a=56000&s=CD23346

Just everyone knows who they are!

I'll let you know what happens when I get off the phone.

2 things:

1) the terms and conditions link at the bottom of the homepage states that you will be charged $10 for your FREE trial (when did 10 bucks = free?) and that if you dont return it then you will be charged $100 (presumably ontop of the $10) for that month + $100 for every month after that (i didnt check and see what you got for the $100 per month though).

2) not to be paranoid or anything, but i find it odd that the only defender of this company is a member with only 1 post whos name sounds like the tag-line of an advertisement. even if that is just me being paranoid (in which case i apologize to giving up smoking) i still find it suspicious, or at least bad etiquette, for a company to have a 1-900 number as their help line.
