Good evening forum. Earlier today I got some vape mail. I got my five pack of 3ohm dripping attys from smartvapes.com I'm having some problems. Now this is my first time using a de-bridged atty. An I've been vaping for almost a year. So I open one up. Pop it on my Silver Bullet an put about six drops in. I go to take a pull an nothing comes out. I do it again an nothing. Well I did get a little cloud but that's it. I put the carto I was using before back on an it work fine. What's going on here? Am I doing something wrong? Now the atty get's warm. I must be having a dumb moment or something. I've watch reviews an everyone just puts there atty on drips an gets vapor. Now I have four more but don't want to use them if I'm not using this one the right way. Could it be DOA? Well maybe not if it gets warm. I don't know. I'm just frustrated.

The big kazoo is 5.0v. What battery or batteries are you running in your SB? If you've just got an 18650 in there, 3 ohms isn't going to be very potent at 3.7v.

Yeah I know the Big Kazoo is 5v. An I know anything at 5v will give you plumes of vapor. I'm just saying that the atty works on my Big Kazoo. But for some reason it's not working on my Silver Bullet. Yeah I'm running it at 3.7v with the 18650. An when I say a little bit a vapor I mean a little bit. I was just wonder if there just some kind of learning curve with de-bridged attys? Like I said this is the first time I used them. The only thing I can thing of is that different atty work better at different volts just like normal attys. I don't know. I'm getting ready for bed. Tomorrow when I get up ill try a different one an see what it does.

Most regular li-on batteries will give you about 3.4 load volts when the circuit is complete.

3.4v with a 3.0 ohm resistor generates 3.85 watts of heat.

The big kazoo is regulated 5.0v. 5.0v with a 3 ohm resistor generates 8.3 watts.

Since the atty is firing and generating a little bit of vapor (about 3.85 watts of heat will generate just a little bit of vapor), then it isn't a connection problem. it is just a poor match of volts to resistance. 3.0 ohms is too high of resistance for your set up.

I wasn't ignoring you nocturn4l3030. It's I don't think this would work. For the fact I do see how I could get a hold of the center. Mainly cause there is no center. It's covered up. It has the two vent holes on the sides tho. These are hand made attys for people who drip. Here's a pic I don't know if you have seen them before or not. Pic Of Smart Vapes Dripping Atty The only difference is mine are 3ohm.
