anywhere my broomstick takes me
My significant other was quite happy about my VK purchase at first, but withing the first 3 days she now says she can't stand the "smell" and want's me to vape in another room and/or open a window when I do.

I personally cannot smell a thing. Does anyone else "smell" anything whatsoever from the vape?

Im now vaping in my house, and ive to tell ya, it sure beats being outside in the cold or in the garage like i used to have to do when smoking analogs..

my better half doesnt smell a thing and i vape in the house car etc..

however, when 1 of my atty's starts to go bad and gets that burnt taste, he says he can smell the atty burn, he says he can smell and tell when my atty's going bad?

but other than that, he doesnt smell the vapor..

he just can smell the burn of a atty thats going bad

I thought humidifers were suppose to clean the air not make it smell. I could not smoke around my husband. Now I vape in the car without the windows rolled down with my whole family in the car and nobody says anything about a smell. The only time my husband said he could smell was when I used vanilla and he said it smelled good.

I think your wife is pulling your leg. Everybody on this forum says vapor has none or very little smell. You need to let her read some of the forum regarding this.

I keep telling her that she's full of it, lol. No one likes to go outside to vape when it's -16 F with wind chill!

She says it's the same "smell" as when the humidifier is running. She has to shut it off after a short while cuz she can't stand it. Either way... it's just odd to me.
Work out a compromise as she might be sensitive to PG. Tell her you will go to the bathroom and turn on the vent fan.

My husband can smell the vapor when we're in the car. Also, my sense of smell is coming back and yesterday I was vaping coconut cream pie in my office, which is a 12x12 feet room. I left and when I came back I could smell it in the hallway by the door and inside the room as well. It smelled really nice, though. I don't know what you're vaping, if it's tobacco flavors, I can see where maybe someone wouldn't be too happy about smelling those, but my husband loves the coffees, fruits and pie smells he detects. I don't do tobacco flavors now. Now that I can smell again, I know there is definitely an odor from the vapor, when I first started and up until recently, I couldn't smell anything.

During Christmas we made a 2 hour trip home. All the way back that night I vaped with my husband and granddaughter in the car. When we got home I told them what I had been doing. They both looked at me in disbelief......they never knew it, and all I have really vaped thus far is tobacco flavors.... tickled the heck out of me because I'm forever getting slammed for smoking anywhere near them.

Your wife must be super sensitive to something in it.

That's my experience too. If they smell anything at all, they say it smells good.

One time, and one time only, my mother said it smelled like I was burning cardboard. I was using a 555 carto and a few puffs later, it was done. That lady can smell everything! :)

OTOH, my second ex would find something to complain about anytime she saw me enjoying myself.

Thankfully, I got rid of her before I found e-cigs. I don't think I could've quit smoking otherwise.

Out of all the flavors we have tried, the RY4 by far has the strongest odor and lingers in the air quite a while IMO.
I refilled about 5 carts the other day. I put everything away and my fiance came in the room and said "are you vaping my RY4?" he could smell the juice, just from refilling!
I can really smell it when he vapes in the car.
I think it smells good though!
He doesn't seem to be able to smell any of my flavors, mostly menthols.

A humidifier puts water into the air.
PG is a humectant - it removes water from the air. It should smell more like an air-conditioner than a swamp-cooler.

A humidifier often smells "musty" because it's recirculating water. A humectant should smell bitter-sweet or "crisp".

I smell a touch of each of the flavors in the air, but then then've been in my mouth and across my mucus membranes, so I'm not a good judge.

Others smell the flavors themselves a little stronger or weaker. So far, no one else has described anything I'd attribute to the PG.

Any water vapor being exhaled is generated by your own body and encapsulated by the PG - trapped and drawn away.
