smelly brass?

every brass mod and tip I have imparts a metallic smell. I figure this is normal because it is all of them. any way to get rid of it?

I actually Googled this once, because I was curious. What I found was surprising. Brass actually doesn't smell, until you handle it. The chemicals in your skin, such as uric acid, react with the brass, especially the copper contained in it, and this causes the smell. You're not really smelling metal. You're smelling you...LOL

okay, I guess I am smelly lol. honestly polish really smells bad. I mean like mothers,flitz etc reaks! I know not to use the mag on brushed of course. I think I might try butchers bowling wax. that smells rotten too but it is all natural. I have a synthetic sealer but I am afraid it will darken the metal.

I did not ever know this. I have a lot of brass items. did not handle them much until ecig mods came along.
