Only been doing this for 5 weeks now, so I think I am still pretty noobish. Question: I have 2 tanks I have been using that I no longer have the same juice for(and don't want to vape it again) and I want to put another juice into them but the smell from the last juice is still there. How do I get rid of that old juice smell?

One is a fruit punch smell and the other is a cinnamon smell. I am thinking the cinnamon smell will be a PITA to get rid of. Any suggestions?
So far I have soaked them in hot tap water with little luck.

Thanks

I use cheap vodka 80 proof for those types of juices and hot tap for the others. You will find 2 running tanks is eventually not going to be enough.
20 is a good number.

Only when diluted....NOT at full strength. Then you'll have issues getting the venegar smell out, which could be worse.

I disagree. Vinegar is already diluted to 5%. If you rinse it properly AND let it dry completely, there will be nothing to smell.

If you're talking about the tank itself and not the carto or wicks, you can simply wash the glass or plastic tank with the caps in hot/warm sudsy water.

If you're talking about taking the flavor/smell off of a carto or wick, then that's a different matter altogether. I tried cleaning cartos by boiling in distilled water and soaking them in vodka. I even considered buying a jewelry cleaner (glad I didn't spend the money). Came to the conclusion that after the filling in the carto got gunky, there was no use in trying to save them. The kicker was when I was vaping one of my tanks with a "cleaned" carto and my daughter asked me if I was vaping with dirty socks/rags. That was the end of that.

The tanks I use now have wicks and I rinse those under as much hot water as my fingers can stand. Sometimes I dry burn them too. But if the wick has lasted me more than a week, then I just put it out of commission until I decide to rewick them myself. I use replaceable coil clearos now.

We're only talking a couple of dollars, getting new cartos or wicks are really not going to break the bank.

I don't buy cheap vodka. :D I have a few clearo's and a harder plastic tank that clean pretty good and 2 ProTanks on the way. If the PT's work as well as I think they are going to I will probably have a few more coming to me soon too.

Just the cylinders. I am really starting to hate carto's, huge reason why I ordered a couple ProTanks.

I will try the vodka method and if that doesn't work I will give the vinegar method a try and if neither of those work I will just start a "retired" collection.
