Smilies in sig gone?

Used to have the smiley matrix in my sig...now it just says ":matirx:"

They aren't in the Edit Sig page either.

I guess this option is gone?

Guess I'll just have to redo it with something else.

I had to make a change due to the "no animations in signatures" rule, and it means that emoticons will no longer work in sigs.

Thanks. I'll have to go dig up a new matrix. Suspected it was an animation thing. I guess I could be sneaky and just put in the smiley at the bottom of every post but that's just too much work.

Had to jump in here because I too, could not figure out what happened to my facepalm smiley. Looks kind of silly having it spelled out, LOL. Time for some editing.

Yup the smilies were only disabled in signatures to prevent the animated ones from showing as per the signature rules. It had the unfortunate side effect of precluding the use of any of the smilies. A banner would solve that.

Would you tell me the secret banner recipe? I tried a bit of copy/pasting/print screening, etc., but it didn't come out well like yours did.

I would have been happier with it, if I could have gotten rid of the white around the facepalm, Kat, but I'm not that skilled or have the programs to do it.

I use an old version of LView Pro. I just created a new 400 x 65 size blank image and pasted your sig lines and the facepalm into it. Then I trimmed out the excess and there was your signature.
