Ok so I ran through my first three smillenizers I wasn't sure what voltage most use these on I am using them on my handle they work awesome. But when I cleaned them using the old boiling water trick I blew them out as much as I could then let them sit on the counter for a few days. I refilled them and the taste is still a little watered down any one have a better idea for them?

Ok thanks BHam I washed out two of them ill try that on the new ones im getting sure seems like a waste of good Vodka though LOL

Agree that it does sound like a waste, however I would like for you to post an update and let us know how it worked out. I have 2 that are ready for cleaning, just need to go and buy some cheap vodka:2cool:

OK im going to try it but ummm a silly question do I boil it in the vodka or is it just for cleaning it like letting it sit in the alcohol? And I have no cheap vodka but have SoJu Korean grain alcohol I could spare I swear it would get you home if you run out of gas LOL and strip paint right off a car

OMG!!!LOL!!!! That'll work ;) But Morandir suggests soaking it in alcohol (high abv clear one like vodka) then running a paperclip through the wick. Either reverse taryn spin it afterwards or let dry for 24-48 hours and the issue should be gone. So soak em for an hour two, and see what happens. Keep us posted.

Ok Thanks K9Luvr so you think it will still taste like the alcohol? I dont have a way to do the taryn spin thingy so ill just let them sit :D

Not sure about the taste, Morandir didn't mention that. And any sock will work for the taryn spin, or use an old battery bag like I do. That will at least get 90% of the moisture out, reducing the amount of time it will take to dry.

    Love your avatar, btw!

Let me know how the Soju works out. I find it to be slightly oily in texture and so I wouldn't recommend it for cleaning purposes. Of course, I wouldn't recommend using alcohol at all. That is what I consider alcohol abuse, even Everclear is better to drink than to clean.
