My bad. I meant SW vs IPV3. And it was the SW that I read does not natively support ti

Between these 2 I find they both work very well. Temp control is strong and steady. I prefer the feel of the Snow Wolf... It is solid and heavy. I can't say I've noticed a difference in performance between the 2 but I've only been using them in temp control and nickel only. Keep in mind my IPV3 is the LiVr version which is the latest and is 200w. They are both awesome temp control mods. These are my first positive experience with temp Control. My dna40 was great but temp control was buggy. These rock and I would personally recommend both!

Does the device not do all these things itself? For example if I build a Ti coil can I just put it on and vape on TC mode without messing with setting and coefficients?
It allows for a more accurate control due to nickel and titanium having different coefficients for different awg.
The device has no way of knowing what you put in your coil.

So for different AWG Ni and Ti wires I will have to know and input the coefficient? This looks like a pain to use. Just by the way, will you be able to use kanthal for TC if you input the coefficient

IDK about kanthal and TC. My m80 does a fairly good job of imitating TC with Kanthal, but from what I understand TC on kanthal isn't possible because the resistance doesn't change linearly with temp change.

I don't think inputting the coefficient will be a mandatory thing, it will just give finer control. IMO - it's just to make sure you can get it to pass the "cotton burn" test.
Also, I'm guessing that's a big reason for the 16 namable memory settings.

Okay, now I need to scrape some money together and buy one. All this speculation makes me want to know.

Have one coming in the vapemail today...

As I'm sure you all can imagine, I'm beyond excited! :mail:

Will let you know once I play with it. It will be a few days before I can mess with TC (have Ni200 coils coming for my Atlantis).

Speaking of pre-made coils for TC, what is everyone's experience with what works best? Best brand?

I wrote a pretty extensive review of pre-made nickel coils that fit the Atlantis.

The best ones, in my opinion, is the Vaporshark ones.

I have / had an Xcube 2 that I ended up gutting and installing a DNA 200 inside. Like it much better now lol. The Xcube 2 requires a lot of fussing with (at least it did for me) to get a consistent good vape and I wasn't impressed with the vape even when it was set right. Price is very reasonable though.

Couple quick things to keep in mind if you're new to TC on the Xcube 2: increasing the TCR setting increases temp. If you set it to, say, 450F and the vape is too weak /cold, up the TCR a bit at a time until it gets to a heat that seems about right (and I recognize that it's hard to judge what a 450F Vape is if it's new to you, but anyway the thing to know is increasing TCR will increase the heat and vice versa.

Same with atty cold base resistance. Increasing the base resistance will increase vape temp.

Start conservatively because Xcube 2 in TC mode has no setable wattage limit. If you have TCR and cold base resistance set up way too hot, it will happily smoke your coil trying to get that hot.

Hi all,

I just received my xcube II yesterday and run into some issues. Thought someone here might be able to help.

I am not sure if Kanthal works proper but I had a dual coil setup in my subtank mini / Troll RDA (clone) to test the mod in wattage mode.

However, the performance was worse than a low end vaporizer with minute vapor production.

With the Subtank, I keep getting variable ohm resistance detected and with the Troll, all I get is heat on the RDA with little vapor production.
I tried switch the mode to TC and the vapor was more but heats up too fast.
Any insights on this or this mod only accepts ni200 and Ti coil?
