Smok AL85 jumping battery percentage

My smok AL85 has been having issues. I have tried three batteries out of 6. I have Samsung 25rs. Whenever i put a fully charged battery in and take a hit, the battery percentage jumps down a few notches to 70% then jumps back up. Sometimes it jumps all the way down then back up again. I am using the tfv4 micro with Clapton dual coil. Had no issues in the last 3 months since I've had the same batteries and tank. I'm on the latest al85 firmware. Do I have a faulty mod? Thanks

First, is it vaping normally, and second, are your batteries lasting a period of time consistent with use? If you're vaping at 12W and running through a battery every hour, there's something wrong. Also are you talking about the battery indicator while you're holding down the fire button, or looking at it after use?

It seems to be vaping normally at 54.6watts. one battery would usually get me through half a day or just over. As soon as I click the fire button the battery shoots down then goes back up. Since posting this thread the battery went down to 20% then slowly went back up to 80%. But this has happened with 3 batteries now. I have a video of the mod doing the issue.

How old are these batteries? The older they get, the worse they'll perform, and you may just be experiencing extreme voltage sag when you hit them with a load.

The oldest of the batteries will be about 3 months bought from the same supplier on eBay (vipertech) and the newest ones being about 2 weeks old.

Those may be fake batteries. I would suggest per Mooch's list to only buy from a reputable source. Look at the bottom of this battery chart. It has the list of the most trusted battery suppliers.

You could certainly try new batteries, but if you bought them from a source that you believe is genuine, I do kind of question why your mod will fire normally at a hair below your usual wattage, but not AT your usual wattage. I'm not sure I'd vape that tank until I isolated the problem and made sure it wasn't the mod (though, it could be either...) Best of luck.

Do you have another tank you can try on it. I doubt it's your batteries. How old is the mod. Might be better to take it back to the shop where you bought it. Good luck.
