SMOK Alien 220w tc chewed up

Hello,
I have an alien 220w tc and my dog just chewed it. He bit down( from what it looks like, once) and broke a hole into the carbon fiber backing, denting the screen, and shattering the glass. I replaced it all and put the second coil in and it works still but what is behind the carbon fiber that may be damaged further from the opening? I wanted to know if it’s still safe to use with the back of the mod open to the air.

I'm pretty sure that's just plastic housing for the batts. Make sure the batts aren't damaged. You can go on YouTube alien 220 rebuild and watch someone take it completely apart.

As long as there isn’t any exposed wires or broken connections you should be fine.

As long as it's just the battery housing, it should be okay, hope your batteries are okay. Dogs, LOL. If it were me, I might try to patch over the hole with something, or you could just look at it as extra battery venting potential.

I might be more cautious with it at very high or low temperatures. I'm cautious that way naturally, because I live in the desert, and I could very well see my batteries exploding (or dying) if I left them in my car for any period at all. I'm not sure if cold is equally as damaging, but that battery casing is providing a layer of thermal insulation, however minimal.

I hope your dog does not pick up a taste for vaping...
