Easy.. head to your hardware store and pick up a torx5 screwdriver. I had to buy the set, but its well worth the $10, *I got a big set*
Next, take the batteries out. Take off the top plate. Insert 1 strand of 28ga wire (I used kanthal, it squishes easier) Get your all purpose wonder tool (hammer) and take the top, the broken 510 ring and kanthal, insert the wire through the hole where the 510 came out of, bend at top and bottom, put the 510 ring in, NOW put a tank on! Position the ring so your air holes match up where ya want them, You can leave the tank on for a minute, now looking at the tank, put the 510 base in the position you want, with the 28ga kanthal wire between the cover and the 510 thread. push firmly, take off tank, and hammer on top until the 510 is flush with the mod cover.
Clean up any .... in your mod, the pins etc. You should see a black inner ring and a brass outer one.. they both slide onto the 510 from inside.. press firmly with needle nose pliers until the are as snug as they are going to get. Make sure the + and - wires are not touching. Cap back on, screw it down, put your batteries in, and vape on.
I was just going to post a topic saying i was worried about this happening on mine. I just noticed yesterday when out in the sun i saw what looked like glue all around the 510, thats when i realized that this thing must only be held in place by glue. I saw what i thought was just little bubbles of plastic all around the 510. Makes me think after screwing and unscrewing ATTY's it's going to eventually just give out. This is especially worrying since i seem to have to tigten my RTA's down pretty snug for it to give me an accurate ohm reading. I guess cause none of my tanks sit level on it. All have a lean to the right, which in turn is making that part of the tank hit the plastic before and scratch it up. I literally mean NO tank of mine sits flush lol.
Can you use some type of adapter? I always use those for my mods to keep the 510 on my mods from getting more wear.
Bonskibon, you mean those type of washers right? i think i've seen them for sale on some online sites specifically for that purpose. I also read on here, or saw a comment on a youtube video about using an extremely small o-ring and putting it over your 510 on the ATTY you are usuing. would have to have a really small inner diameter though i would have to think!
Why wont this H-priv read ohms accurately unless it's tigthened down super tight? (which i don't like doing, try to keep things finger tight) I just took my tank off to refill, before that it was reading 0.35 ohms. Put it back on after filling, reads 0.33. Take it off make it tighter reads 0.35. lol anytime i put the tank on my IPV5 wheter tight or kinda loose it gives the same reading. Then again every tank sits flush on my IPV5, is that my answer? lol not sitting fliush so not making solid contact with the 510 on the mod?
In most cases (Kanger, Joyetech) they don't deal with 3rd party only suppliers. Need to talk to whoever you got it from not SMOK. They will answer questions (poorly) but thats it.
Well guys after digging around my spare O-ringsd i first tried using one of the O-rings for a drip tip.. of course was way too big. So then looking through my spare baggie that came with my wotofo serpent i found one that fits PERFECT over the threads of my 510's on my tanks! Put it on my tank and screwed it down and gave it a nice and snug fit! unlike when i screwed it down before it would just stop without feeling tight cause of it not sitting even. I looked at the tank and and the mod and now it's not leaning to one side and grinding into one side of the mod!! what an easy fix! I'm sure usuing a washer would be even better, cause i'm sure overtime the O-ring will eventually wear down from the pressure on it being squished down, but so far so good and an easy fix! ohms are even reading correctly now!
To be honest, I like the mod, but would never buy another one due to the shabby 510 connector. You can only fix that a couple times and then the 510 is shot. I think you can buy new 510 connectors, but have to mod the top plate a bit so they fit.
I have an IJOY 200w now, and the 510 on that looks amazing, including the rings (like a bullseye) around the 510 that prevents juice from leaking in under the atty if any does happen to leak out the air holes.

It's an old post but whatever. Hello guys I wanted to ask did someone find out which 510 connector man could buy to change on a HPRIV. Mine has sustained over a year of abuse and now is giving up. I got my eye on another mod but being HPRIV so dear to me and after 1.1.1 update it's even better. I'd love to keep it working. I'm not scared of a bit drilling. Just I don't know which replacement 510 to buy. There are so many. Thank you.
