I’ve been back and forth with quitting cigs over the last couple years & want to make another push at it. Most of my gear is about 2 years old and besides the motivation of having something new and cool to play with it seems like these days you can get the same results from a much smaller device. I’m thinking about the stick v8, priv v8 & 80w osub kits. I really like the priv’s ergonomics but I’m wondering if I would be leaving anything on the table vs the other options.

It's really hard to try and predict what you are going to like if it's been a few years, and I'm not a sub0hm vaper, but smok does make powerful kits at inexpensive prices. If you want to know more options I might check out the VW/VV Mod section of the board, but Smok does cater mainly to sub0hm vapers so if that's what you want, you may be on the right track.

I'm sure someone with more experience will be along however.

I'd look around the forums a bit before buying anything smok, with all the people having issues i'm somewhat sure everyone are gonna get some. For me, imho i don't recommend smok's tank at all, i myself tried 2 and never was satisfied, always problems and too much bad stuff with their Qc. Also we don't know if you're a mtl vaper or a dtl, as smok like anna said is more for dtl vapers. I myself use a smok mod atm and not really any issues, their tanks is what bothers me, but then again some love and live for their stuff, so your mileage may vary, but i personally hate their tanks and will never buy those again.

If you're into sub 0hm dtl i'd suggest looking at some of aspire's new stuff they came out with recently which again imho looks pretty interesting, and i've never had any issues with aspire products so that's something right ?

What I’m really looking for is a portable low maintenance dl kit. I’ve owned and tried a few of their products and have always liked the way they hit. I like a thick flavorful cloud, but not mega obnoxious clouds. I have a few rebuildables that I like but I need to be able to grab and go.
Long story short I started out a little bigger than I should have & that was working ok but I thought going back to mtl might be better. It just didn’t do it for me after starting with dl. Then I was looking for something like what I want to get now, but I was given a bunch of stuff so I spent some time trying to work with that instead of getting what I thought was right.

what's your definition of portable lolz, i use a gpriv 2 mod with an rda on top and even carrying a bottle of juice in my pockets i find this quite portable imo xD.
Like i said though aspire makes good reliable products imo, have been using on and off one of their mods (nx75 single 18650 mod) for months and never had an issue besides the esthetics taking a hit,but that's kinda expected when you drop your stuff :p

Also lately anything sub 0hm when used correctly makes decent clouds,if you're more of a drop in coil type of guy i loved my Fat Scylla sv and my crown III when i used them. Mod wise that matters much less as at the end of the day it's mostly a holder for your battery that powers the atomiser. Rebuildable wise yeah that's not for everyone, and imo that's simpler than a drop in coil as changing cotton takes me about 10 mins on a rda so i do it at lunch break at work and i know there is no dud or bad coil.

A buddy of mine just got the gpriv 2 kit. That’s one of the ones I mentioned before. I definitely like the mod & was impressed with the size but it’s a little outside my budget. I like the baby beast on it that’s what got me motivated to try something new. He does complain about the coil flooding. I’ve had the same problem with other top airflow tanks too. I did like the atlantis & cleito he had before that one so aspire would definitely be on my short list.

In my opinion, Aspire does things well and consistently. They've probably had a few fails, I was NOT a big fan of the Nautilus X, it was SO difficult to use and set up and that airflow... Well, I got it in black, and almost instantly broke the tank trying to figure out the airflow... I did not get a replacement tube. Maybe someday, but if there's anything Aspire that I hate, it's probably the NX.

I had a cleto gifted to me by my son when he quit vaping, and while I am not a DL person and gifted the tank to someone else, I will say it was well made, he ran a LOT of ejuice through that thing too, never an issue with leaking or coil life. :)

I wanted a nautilus or mini when I was starting out but top fill was the new hot thing everyone told me to look for so I went with a crown.
We may like the same things.

I really love the original Crown tank. IMHO, its one of the most versatile tanks on the market. Technically it is a sub-ohm tank, but you don't have to sub-ohm with it. It has 1.2 ohm coils available for it as well as sub-ohm coils. It can be both a M-T-L or D-T-L tank by its widely adjustable ratcheted air control ring. It's top fill. 4 ml capacity.

I'm extremely happy with my newer JAC Vapour Series-B DNA 75w. I get a full day use with my Samsung 30Q, vaping 30 - 40 watts with the 0.5 ohm coil in the original Uwell Crown clearo tank. I get a good month or so with the Crown coils. If interested, I suggest the Sandstone model over the black model for a more durable finish.
