for some reason it started today, when i screw on any tank soon as the pin makes contact with the 510 it starts firing on its own without me pressing the button and doesnt stop until i unscrew the tank enough that the pin is not connected to the tank..anyone else's m80 do this or any other mod do this to them and what may cause this?

Why are you reading this post when you should be removing the batteries from your Smok M80?

You are no longer in control of when this device is firing.

Powering the device down should stop it firing, but if it's bypassing the chip, or the chips so messed up that it looks like it's powered down when it's not, it may continue to be unsafe.

Why leave batteries in this device? No batteries = no problem, guaranteed.

You understand the batteries are built in correct? I wouldn't risk opening a device with hardwired batteries and circuitry where the current seems to be continuously flowing.

Er- oops,

No I had no idea it was a built in battery. So used to 18650 devices it didn't occur to me.

My bad

In that case I'd removed the atty, try to power it down, then put it on my door step for a few hours to see if it goes into melt down, before considering my next option.

But in all honesty it sounds like it belongs in the trash (or professionally repaired

i just tryed pressing down on it with a screw driver and got a orange spark
ack - that probaby was not a great idea if it was auto firing - if you wanted to press down the center pin, would suggest using something non conductive...

if it is still powering on, with no tank mounted, have you tried hitting the reset button (in between the + and - buttons)?

Switch/cricuit is stuck ON
and the screwdriver was a BAD IDEA. Never go after a Hot circuit with a metal object.

Keep any/all tanks/RDa's off the unit. Place a piece of tape over the 510 until it can be properly cared for.

*No 510 contact = slow(minimal) or no battery drain so no risk of overheating the unit.
