I received two samples of Morph Pod-40 Kit for this test; one in a sober and elegant color (Gray) and the other in a sporty and captivating color (Black Red)

• First impressions:
There are several aspects of this new All-in-One Kit that impressed me favorably at first sight!
Morph Pod-40 Kit immediately appears quite advanced compared to its competitors, in fact it combines almost all the best features of a Pod system in a single device.
The arched form factor together with the fire button that occupies all the front space make the Mod truly ergonomic, moreover the zinc alloy mask guarantees a remarkable structural solidity.
Materials such as leatherette and the velvety plastic finish give a valuable tactile feedback.
The OLED screen is happily inserted laterally and offers 4 different reading possibilities (Flip Screen).
The AFC system is adjustable and the 3.7ml cartridge stands out for its convenient top-up e-liquid refill.

• Morph Pod-40 Kit, beautiful from all points of view:
The front has a stealthy and minimalist look, the large Fire key spreads across the surface and offers extended and comfortable push activation.

The arched design of the back enhances the overall aesthetics and provides optimal grip, the leatherette insert houses the wording "Morph pod-40" with hot branding, to complete the aesthetic picture there are two seams with an artisan look arranged vertically.

The air flow inlet on the top of the device is adjustable by means of a metal knob. The maneuverability of the AFC is solid and well braked, it supports the types of vape from open Mtl to restricted DL.

The zinc alloy armor embraces the front part from below and the back from above, while in the center it completely protects the device from shocks.
The 0.91 "Oled screen is housed in the center of the armor together with the (soft and rubbery) Up / Down adjustment buttons. On the other side in the center there is a plastic insert that bears the wording" Smok "with a brilliant effect.
The side view of Morph Pod-40 Kit allows you to appreciate the extreme manufacturing care that Smok's technicians have applied to this project.

The Compartment / Pod is screwed to the Mod using three torx screws, contains the two contact pins and has a decidedly powerful magnet that guarantees perfect placement of the cartridge.
There is no sensor for the automatic Puff, this does not bother me also because with time and intensive use it could lead to operational complications.

The base on which the Mod rests houses the 1.4A Type-C charging socket with relative writing regarding the battery capacity (2,000mAh).
On the bottom there are also two torx screws, the brand (C E), the disposal logo and 3 holes for the safety vent for the internal cell.

• Pod:
The cartridge made of PCTG contains up to 3.7ml of e-liquid, the conical drip-tip (non-replaceable) is quite wide at the bottom, while at the top it assumes an acceptably small size for MTL / RDL vaping.
The refill takes place comfortably from above by removing the rubber cap, the oval-shaped filling hole is well sized.
The large transparent surface of this cartridge offers excellent visibility of the internal e-liquid.
The insertion / extraction of the RPM-Coil takes place with the "Press and Pull" method.

• RPM Coil:
For this device and to make the most of its features, Smok recommends the use of the coils below (pic)

• 0.40Ω Best 25W RPM Mesh Coil:
• Triple Coil RPM from 0.60Ω Best 25W:
These two resistors included in the kit are probably the best choice for the characteristics of the Smok Morph Pod-40. I find these Coils perfect for a 25W RDL vape. The Mesh one is my favorite for reactivity and for greater aromatic release with dense clouds of vapor.
Using the RBA base or the other (optional) coils you can also search for the MTL vape, which will not be too narrow, but with the use of creamy or fruity e-liquids and thanks to the adjustable AFC you will still get an acceptable compromise.

• Operation Guide:
- Power on: Make 5 clicks on the fire button
- Shutdown: 5 click on the fire button to access the function interface; Press the Fire button to switch to Power Off Function, then select "YES" and long press the Fire button.
- Setting the power Press the Up / Down buttons to adjust the power from 5 to 40W in steps of 1W per click.
- To lock / unlock the power: Press the Up / Down buttons simultaneously
- To lock / unlock the device: Quickly press the Fire key 3 times.
- To reset the number of Puff: Press the Fire button and the Down button at the same time to enter the Puff Clear menu, then select "YES" and press the Fire button for a long time.
- Flip Screen: Press Fire key 5 times to switch to function, then press Up / Down buttons to select screen direction and long press Fire key to confirm.
- Brightness setting: Press the Fire key 5 times to switch to the Brightness function, then press the Up / Down keys to adjust the screen brightness from 20 to 100%.

The 0.91 "Oled Display houses the following indications; power, remaining battery% charge, coil value, duration of the last Puff and total number of Puffs. There are also some interesting solutions, such as the possibility of viewing the display in a horizontal + upside down or vertical + upside down.
Brightness adjustment and enlarged fonts contribute to an optimal data reading.

• 2.000mAh battery:
When the USB cable is plugged in, the interface displays the charge level (%) and estimated charging time.
The battery is well managed by the chipset, the delivery is constant until the last puff and the charging time is fast enough (about 90 minutes).
With the cell charged at 100% I managed to do 360 puffs at a constant 25W. In the same test (Mesh Coil) always at 25W, my wife made 479!
* The product must be charged at a temperature between 10 ° C and 45 ° C.
