The smok Nfix with a simple "Pen Style" look is now joined by the Nfix-Mate Kit, the latter with a totally different design, the cartridges are the same and therefore interchangeable, the chipset with O-led screen, the power adjustable from 1 -25w, the Type-C charging socket, are all features in common with the previous model. But with the new Nfix-Mate Kit there is a new Coil to test and an interesting increase in battery capacity, which goes from 700mAh to the current 1,100mAh ...

The front package shows the image of the Nfix-Mate Kit, some "highlights" are remembered such as the 0.8Ω NexMeshed pod coil, the 3ml cartridge capacity, the 0.69 "Oled screen. Variable Wattage (1- 25W), the 1,100mAh rechargeable battery, the Type-C charging socket and the color of the device.

The Nfix-Mate Kit comes with a shape similar to a small Box-mod, the dimensions are similar to those of a match box. The aluminum alloy body has a single button, it is used to turn the device on / off and to regulate the power supply. The screen performs the control functions. The activation of the device is of the automatic Puff type.

The side panels have a very clean design, with a flat shape, further tapered towards the front and back of the mod. The 0.69 "Oled display and the word" Smok "are placed on one panel, in the other panel only the word Nfix-mate appears.

The front and rear sides have a super-narrow section, the adjustment button is on one side, on the other side there is a buttonhole to attach to for the hood with a small drawstring or to attach the big necklace.

The compartment / pod houses two spring-loaded pins on the bottom, incorporated in as many magnets. In a central and slightly raised position there is a perforated pin for activating the automatic puff.

The bottom of the Nfix-Mate Kit houses a valuable (for the type of device) type-C charging socket.

The pods are disposable, those present in the Kit are; the already known Double Coil Nfix DC 0.8Ω with range 15-25W and the new Nfix Meshed 0.8Ω with range 10-15W, alternatively sold separately we find a single coil Nfix SC 1.0Ω with range 15-25W

The disposable type Pod can hold up to 3ml of liquid and is built in PCTG and offers good transparency.
The refill is accessed by lifting the rubber cap placed on the side.

How the Nfix-Mate Kit works:

By pressing the single adjustment button five times we turn the device on / off. When switched on, the message SMOK appears first, then the firmware version is indicated, and the message "goodbye" appears when switched off.

By pressing the adjustment button twice consecutively we could adjust the wattage from 1 to 25W. When 25W is reached, it starts again from 1W.
To reset the Puff number, keep the adjustment button pressed and at the same time extract the cartridge.

The type-C charging socket is located on the bottom of the device, the entire charging cycle takes about 90 minutes.
Multiple protections include:

- Low voltage protection

Final Considerations:

The overall feel at 15w is relatively full and rich, the aroma released is well defined compared to other types of pods competitor's, the shot feels smooth and fluid.
Even small mg / ml concentrations are well perceived.
The type of shot is open MTL.
This coil can be exploited with all the power of the device (25W) while never emitting steam that is too hot, 20W for what concerns me can be the optimal wattage.

Pod Nfix Meshed 0.8Ω range 10-15W (included)
The yield is very similar to the previous one, the advantage of this "Meshed" is that it can be used at much lower wattages the shot is of the open-MTL type like the previous one.

The disposable PCTG cartridge is well fixed thanks to its two magnets, has a remarkable capacity for the type of device (3ml) about 1.5 times more than the general standard, offers a good visual control on the level of the liquid inside.
Side refilling is quite convenient, leaving the pod charged with liquid for a long time may cause condensation to form, Smok recommends taking out the pod when not using the device for extended periods.

The Nfix-Mate Kit is powered by an integrated 1.100mAh battery with good autonomy, with the 0.8Ω Nfix DC Pod / coil I managed to do 370 Puffs at 20W!
With the Pod Nfix Meshed 0.8Ω, I managed to do 504 Puffs at 12W!

After testing it for a while I think that the Nfix-Mate Kit is undoubtedly (in its category an excellent product), it keeps roughly the size of any basic pod, but adds technology thanks to the readable information on the Display.
Few pods in this price range are equipped with a display, even fewer with power adjustment, this in my opinion is enough to make the Nfix-Mate Kit an above average portable pod.
