Today I will tell you about smok's new interesting RTDA POD accessory (for the RPM 160) available for purchase separately.
I take this opportunity to thank smok for sending me a new device with updated coloring.

The RPM 160W Pod Mod by Smok is renewed with four nuanced and captivating colors, the texture is honeycomb with a rubberized surface, the result is very pleasant to the touch.
These new colors are added to the four previous carbon look sports versions.

    Smok RPM160 RDTA 8ml package:

In addition to the image of the RDTA cartridge, the package shows the main features in the form of an icon, including the capacity of 8ml of e-liquid!

The content, specifications and warnings can be found on the back of the package.

On the side we find a barcode, a hologram, and Smok's addresses including the customer service email.

The scratch & check to check the authenticity of the product is glued to the bottom of the package.

Smok's idea is to be able to use a powerful dual battery like the RPM 160 combined with a high-performance regenerable system, let's see if they have succeeded.

The RDTA Kit essentially consists of five pieces: a huge 8ml tank with built-in dual post regenerable deck, an external bell with air-flow arranged in a honeycomb, a swivel top-cap equipped with four opposing slots to adjust the airflow and a Drip-tip 810 with two sealing rings.

Upon visual inspection, the huge RDTA cartridge shows a smoky color, sufficiently transparent, at the bottom we can see two large and tenacious magnets to anchor it to the Mod, the central area works as a contact pin with the mod. The lower part of the Cartridge has no feed holes, so its seal is watertight, there will be no liquid leaks inside the compartment / pod.

In the flat top of the cartridge there is the regenerable deck with the 22mm diameter bell, alongside there is the liftable silicone cap for a quick refueling.

Four intertwined steel cables take care of transporting the liquid from the cartridge to the coils, these cables have characteristics of almost unlimited duration as they are not stressed by high temperatures as happens for coils. The only concern will be that from time to time to replace the cotton or to rebuild the coils, as happens in any regenerable deck.
To block the four Ropes and to prevent them from coming out there are four Phillips screws.

    11.jpg

I used the two coils pre-assembled by Smok without any modification, if you want to install any alternative coil you must respect the Range of resistances supported by the RPM 160 (0.1 ~ 2.5Ω).

The two turrets for tightening the coil legs house four Allen screws, the key is supplied in the package.

The Build does not present particular difficulties in cutting the cotton, you just need to be careful not to obstruct the air-flow holes when the external bell is installed.

Once the resistance is assembled we can place the RDA bell on the Deck, the insertion is simple and precise.

In the image below we can see the refueling slot which is generously sized to be used with the majority of e-liquid dispensers on the market.

    16.jpg

The bell is fully rotatable and offers infinite possibilities to direct the airflow towards the coils, the top cap (also fully rotatable) allows you to choke the incoming air at will.

Compared to the 0.3Ω declared by Smok, both pre-installed coils gave a similar value of 0.45Ω.
At 35W I found the ideal power to be able to push them, the four Ropes feed the cotton in a commendable way, the delivery is always fluid and constant.
The really massive and surprising vapor production, it seems to use it at double the power, the aromatic yield satisfies me a lot, cuts some sweet notes that in some systems are excessive, I had the same liquid on another RDTA and I could no longer vape it, now i can't get away from this RMP RDTA.
This system is really airy, but it allows a really 360 ° adjustment until you get a very tight shot and with a lot of Hit, I'm curious to see what can be achieved with more extreme resistances, at 35W the heat is well manageable.

The new texture as well as the form factor of the RPM 160 are identical to those of the Rigel Mod.

    19.jpg

The Smok Rpm 160 measures 126mm in height with its pod installed, with the RTA system installed the RPM160 reaches 138mm, 3mm less than the Rigel with the TFV9 Tank.

Its classic trapezoidal shape makes it ergonomic, the materials used allow it to also be quite light, the two 18650 batteries are well managed by a simple, intuitive chipset and equipped with all the necessary security options.

Furthermore, the possibility of using this RDTA system on the Mod RPM 160 in combination with the standard coils and pod, allows any beginner to start regenerating with extreme ease, obtaining excellent performance without any loss of liquid.

Thanks to Smok for sending me the product for review:
