Hey guys,

I'm currently using a SMOK TFV4 Sub-Ohm Tank with SMOK TF-Q4 Coils (0.15 Ohms), when I originally bought this tank I absolutely loved it, best tank I've ever had.

For a couple months now I have been using this tank with my Sig150W for daily vaping every single day. I have gone through mass amounts of juice and coils. I am now to the point where I am admitting to myself that something needs to change. It's starting to taste like .... quicker and quicker, and I'm tired of trying to clean it and change the coils.

Do you guys have any suggestions on what I can do differently to make this more suitable for daily vaping, or do you not recommend a tank like this at all? Would raising my ohms to perhaps a 0.5 be a better option, or even higher? Should I be using fully VG e-liquid?

Appreciate any advice, thank you!

You can replace the cotton and do a dry burn of the coils to clean them off, if you're using kanthal. I'm not sure how long the coils themselves last. I have been trying different builds out quite a bit. But they do last a while, from what I've read. Once you start losing flavor and they're getting pretty dirty, just pull the cotton out, dry burn, rewick, and you're good to go.

With the TFV4, you will still be able to fill the tank. RDAs are for dripping only.

No worries! I enjoy building. I didn't think I would when I started vaping, but after I got my first TFV4 and seen the increase in flavor from the Melo 2 I was using, I really wanted to get more flavor. I just got my first RDA, which I didn't think I'd ever want to try, and I love it.

I've been playing around with different guages. I like around .3 to .4 ohms at about 50 watts. I'd start with some 24awg. 7 wraps, 2mm would put you around .5 ohms. You can see how you like that. Check this site out if you're going to get into building. You just plug your info in and it will give you an idea of the resistance of your build, and the watts suggested for it.

Also, if you want to save a little more money in the long run, you can get a box of cellucotton 100% rayon at Sally's. I got a 500ft box for $15, and it will most likely last me the rest of my life. To me, rayon has cleaner flavor than cotton. Here is a thread on it if you want to check it out. I won't ever go back to cotton.

Interesting, had never heard of rayon until now. I'll give that a try first considering I haven't placed any orders yet. Did you mean this? Graham Professional CelluCotton Beauty Coil 3lbs.

Sextuple coil Sat for 15 minutes
Clapton coils 1 hr
& the triple 24 hours all taste the same & have the same harshness I feel like I have strep throat after 3-4 hits
It is only 2 days old I am tossing it & went back to my crowns
Sounds like too much nic or pg. What level are you vaping? With the amount of vapor you get from the coils on the TFV4, you might could lower your nic.
