Hi guys so I recently upgraded to a smok H-Priv with the tfv4 Micro tank, but I seem to be having some issues with the coils on this thing gone through 2 in 2 weeks it seems.
Now I used to be using Kanger subbox/Nebox/topbox with Kanger coils and I was getting 2 weeks on average from them, but since I've moved over I've had an issue that the flavour very suddenly goes from great to non existent.
Is it me or is this just what I have to expect?
I started with the pre-installed Clapton coil and aside from the short break-in period the flavour has been fantastic but about a week ago it suddenly died. - no drop off just suddenly gone. so I swapped out the coil for the ss dual coil and ran again and suddenly today I've had the same thing with this one - one puff fine next its dead flavour. Not burnt tasting but just flavour isn't there any more.
I'm running it as I say on the H-Priv @ approx. 50 W so within its range using high VG juices averaging around 70-80% VG. I'm careful not to have dry firing and keep it locked off in my pocket so not mis-firing.
So as I say is this what I'm looking at? higher coil usage? or is there something I can do to extend the coil life? besides dropping Watts below 47 which I've found is the lowest I feel comfortable with.
I have ordered a tfv 8 full size which is on route from FT to give that a crack too. and I still have about 6 other tanks but this has been my best so far.
