It looks like your mod can handle resistance to 0.10 ohms, so I am not sure why it won't fire. I've seen some differences in where my quad coils for the TFV4 read, but they're never below 0.15.

Does your mod read resistance to the nearest tenth or hundredth?

Another issue might be that the tank isn't making good contact to your mod's center pin. Is the pin adjustable? Spring loaded?

Do you have this problem with the triple coil?

it could be an issue with how the device is reading resistance. the quad coil is rated at 0.15ohm. in my experience what they intend and what you get is +/- 0.03 at that resistance level. so if its on the low end and your mod is under reading resistance that could be an issue. i would be very surprised if the coil itself was 33% under normal resistance to be below the 0.1ohm that the mod could fire at. do you have an ohmmeter to check?

that wouldnt cause the resistance to be too low. it would either read as nothing installed or at a higher resistance if it wasnt making a proper connection. having a loose connection doesnt mean resistance drops.

So i went out and bought one of these and every time i use it on my IPV3 LI it keeps telling me "Low Resistance" and i can't fire, anyone have any idea why it would be doing this? This happens when using the quad coil.

Thank you

I use my SMOK TFV4 on my IPV3 LI and the quad coil comes out to .17 but mine always registers about .02 ohms higher than it should.. I'm not sure what the issue is with it here but that is weird. First thing I'd do is try a new Quad coil and double check the one you have in there is screwed in properly. If the Tri Coil is working fine there isn't much difference between the two to be honest.. I find the Tri Coil is actually more beefier and I get just as much clouds... BUT like I said try a new coil, if that doesn't work it's unfortunately your mod. Did you do the firmware update on the IPV3 LI... I have yet to even do that because I never will go past 165 watts and I don't care to use nickel or SS wire.

I dont know.. I replaced the coil in mine last night and had the Low atomizer warning. turns out the coil wasnt screwed into the base all the way and wasnt making good contact. Once I tightened up the coil it read properly again.
