I know taste is subjective and all. I run the Kanger sub tank. My son is looking for a tank and trying to figure out which one to get. He has the sub tank also but it seems his juice gets dark real fast in his tank but not in mine which is kinda weird. He has been looking at the smok vtf4 and the atlantis v2. I was wondering for those of you whom have tried both what are your thoughts. I diy so the cost of juice is not a problem.

the subtank mini was my first sub ohm tank. i cant say enough good things about it. it just works and the vertical coils are great. its a simple tank without bells and whistles. the tfv4 is the complete opposite. the atlantis v2 seems to be a middle ground. the thing that draws people to the tfv4 is the flavor and vapor. most people seem to agree that the quad coils are the way to go if you want to get the most out of the tank (using stock coils). however, you need to make sure your mod can push that much power. if you have anything below a 70W mod good luck driving those coils. that brings us to the atlantic v2. i have yet to try it personally but reading reviews it isnt that much different flavor and vapor wise than the subtank. IMO i would go with the tfv4 or just stick with the subtank.

If your sons juice is turning dark more than likely the culprit is he's leaving in the Sun and the nicotine is oxidizing I have the same problem if I forget to cover my juice when I leave it in my car at work

No that is not the problem it does it indoors as well his nicotine level is only 3mg. his watts is about 18

My Kanger mini used to have those issues when I started with the 1.2 and 1.5 coils, putting too much power to them, burning some combination of the cotton and the juice. That was solved by switching to the 0.5 vertical coils when they became available.

In addition to the Kanger, I have an Arctic, Crown, Atlantis V2, and Herakles. Atlantis has most reliable coils, no leaking, high quality, flavor a little soft. Herakles a good bit better on the flavor and slightly better on the clouds, not quite as bullet proof but pretty good coils and overall quality. With the Herakles, the 0.6 and 0.2 vape very differently- it's like having 2 different tanks. No luck with Crown and Arctic for coil longevity. Neither gets much use anymore.

My wish list includes the TFV4 and/or Herakles Plus, but not as all day vapes...... I still use the Kanger for work, driving, and other places where I don't want to make a spectacle of myself. Tried a TFV4 in a B&M, with the quad coil. Effortless clouds, can't see 10 feet in front of you clouds, even at 80w. Someone might call 911 if I used it in a car clouds..... or I'd get pulled over and interrogated by the local authorities clouds. I want it, but not as my only tank. I'd spend as much on juice as I used to spend on analogs.
