Reread my post and I want to apologize for sounding so rude. I do appreciate you taking the time to try to help w/my problems. I hope there's no hard feelings.
i bought my wife and myself both a Xcube 2, firmware updated them, put all the TC modes on them.....and i can now say....i have never bought bigger pieces of crap in my life, there is no call for devices that work this poorly. never again will smok tech get a single dollar of money i earn, crap company, crap products. it doesnt do TC properly, even when the TCR is set right, horrible button, battery door is crap, theres a huge delay when yu push the mushy crap button, the only thing it comes close to being good at is watt mode for dripping
I "resolved" the problem I was having w/316L in TC by going to Ni200 (it works fine using Ni). I'll try some 410 or 430 SS and if that doesn't work any better than 316, then I'll just keep using Ni200- which I have absolutely no qualms about, health- or otherwise.
They FINALLY updated the X Cube II firmware to get rid of the delay:
