I saw this problem on several other places. The solution is, figure out where it is sticking. If it's on the top or bottom. There is a set of hex screws on both sides. Just loosen the ones on the top if it's on top or tighten them up a little bit on the bottom if it's the bottom. Try it and see if that works. Occasionally they come where the screws are too loose or to tight, you can almost look at it and see which it is. I notice that if you press the bottom a lot that the bottom just sticks because it is cockeyed.

just a heads up - there is a firmware upgrade available for the x cube 2 - version 1.08 / guide and walkthrough here, with links to app needed for upgrade and the actual firmware .hex file... used this walkthrough and had no issues with update - would suggest reading through it at least once before you pull the trigger, though (and check your current firmware version - mine was running 1.05)
X CUBE II V1.08 firmware upgrade guide--SMOK® Being with you for all great vaping time!
You were actually able to update your firmeware using their Guide? I haven't even been able to have my device detected via USB...
Their guide says to power the device off, remove the batteries and then hold the "Vaping-Key" (I assume that means the firing button) and plug in the USB Cable and hit Connect in the Update app. For me, nothing happens... no device detected.
Thanks for that - I've tried 5 different cables so far and confirmed at least 2 of those do work for data transfer as I connected my Android phone with them to my PC and it pops up.yeah - I just held down the firing bar, plugged in the cable - as I recall, it may have detected the device automatically but I hit the connect button just to be on the safe side... may want to try another cable, make sure it supports data transfer, not just charging?
