I like using stainless wire. I just find it easy to work with. Having trouble with it getting really hot when in temperature mode. I'm using the very latest firmware. Can someone tell me what's going on? Using dual coil 6 wraps 26AWG

OK, I've updated the firmware and TC is doing something. Even got an option to change to TC-SS without using the app.

When it reaches my set temp it cuts out and says "temperature protected". I guess that means it's working

Dunno why but I though TC was better than that. I'm an automation engineer by trade and part of my job is tuning PID loops. Using PID we can hold the temperature at a given set value using a proportional output. Just cutting the signal out for a while isn't very accurate in comparison.

Actually it's working fine now without temp protect messages. Basically if you mess with the coil settings in the app it just overheats. It's like the Stainless settings in the app just makes the mod revert to Nickel mode. You can get the Stainless mode on the device free of charge with the 1.097 update and when set from the mod it works fine. Just had to play with the TCR a bit. Currently set on 0.00090
